How to Add a TXT Record for Domain Verification in PhotoBiz
If you're using PhotoBiz Version 9 or higher and your domain’s DNS is managed through AWS Route 53, you can add TXT records directly from your PhotoBiz account. This is commonly needed when verifying your domain with services like Google Search Console, Microsoft, Flodesk, or email providers.
What Is a TXT Record?
A TXT (Text) record is a type of DNS record used to store text-based information about your domain. Most often, TXT records are used for domain verification—helping third-party services confirm that you own your domain.
IMPORTANT: DNS management is only available if your domain is using AWS (Route 53) name servers. If your domain is still on our legacy Rackspace name servers, you won’t see the DNS management option.
STEP ONE
Log in to PhotoBiz and Open Domain Settings
- Log in to your PhotoBiz account.
- From the left-hand menu, click DOMAINS.
STEP TWO
Open the DNS Zone Editor
- In the Domains panel, locate your domain.
- Click MANAGE DNS next to your domain name.
STEP THREE
Add a New DNS Record
- Click the NEW DNS RECORD button.
STEP FOUR
Enter Your TXT Record
- For the Host, enter
@
(unless your verification instructions specify a different subdomain). - For the Value, paste the TXT string provided by the service you’re verifying with.
⚠️ TXT records must be entered exactly as provided. Even small changes can prevent successful domain verification.
THAT'S IT
DNS Changes May Take Time
Most updates go live within a few minutes, but full propagation across the internet can take up to 48 hours.
