How to Manage Your Domain’s DNS Records in PhotoBiz

How to Manage Your DNS Zone Records in PhotoBiz

If your website is built on PhotoBiz (Version 9 or higher) and your domain’s name servers are pointed to AWS Route 53, you can manage your DNS zone records directly from your PhotoBiz account.

This gives you full control over your DNS settings—so you can make changes anytime, even outside of business hours.

Important: DNS management is only available if your domain is using AWS (Route 53) name servers.
If your domain is still using our legacy name servers, this feature will not be available.

DNS Changes May Take Time

Most DNS updates take effect within a few minutes, but full propagation across the internet may take up to 48 hours.

STEP ONE

Log in and Access Your DNS Settings

  • Log in to your PhotoBiz account.

  • Click DOMAINS from the left-hand menu.

STEP TWO

Open the DNS Zone Editor

  • In the Domains panel, find your domain and click MANAGE DNS.

STEP THREE

Add a New DNS Record

  • Click NEW DNS RECORD.

  • Choose the record type you want to add.

Supported DNS Record Types:

  • A Record – Points your domain to a specific IP address.

  • CNAME – Redirects one domain name to another.

  • MX (Mail Exchange) – Routes email to your mail server.

  • TXT – Used for things like domain verification and email authentication (e.g., SPF, DKIM, DMARC).

  • SRV – Used for services like VoIP and messaging.

⚠️ Be Careful: Editing DNS settings incorrectly can cause problems with your website, email, or other services. Only make changes if you’re confident or have exact instructions from a provider you trust.

STEP FOUR

Enter Record Details and Save

  • After choosing your record type, enter the required information.

  • Click SAVE CHANGES to update your DNS.

DELETING A DNS RECORD

Be careful—removing a DNS record can cause services like your website or email to stop working. Deleted records cannot be recovered and must be re-entered manually.

To delete a record:

  • Go to the DOMAINS section and click MANAGE DNS next to your domain.
  • Locate the DNS record you want to remove.
  • Click DELETE next to the entry.
  • Confirm the deletion.
