How to Add SPF, DKIM, and DMARC Records in PhotoBiz
If you're using PhotoBiz Version 9 or higher and your domain’s DNS is managed through AWS Route 53, you can add SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records directly from your PhotoBiz account. These DNS records are used to help authenticate your email and improve deliverability.
What Are SPF, DKIM, and DMARC Records?
These are special types of TXT records used to protect your domain from spoofing and ensure your emails are more likely to reach inboxes:
- SPF (Sender Policy Framework): Lists the email servers allowed to send messages on behalf of your domain.
- DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail): Uses encrypted keys to verify your emails weren't changed after being sent.
- DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance): Builds on SPF and DKIM to tell email servers how to handle unauthenticated mail.
Most email platforms (like Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho, etc.) will give you these records during setup.
IMPORTANT: DNS management is only available if your domain is using AWS (Route 53) name servers. If your domain is still on our legacy Rackspace name servers, you won’t see the DNS management option.

You'll need to add one record at a time for SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
-
For SPF:
-
Host:
@
-
Value: (Use the SPF string provided by your email provider. Example:
v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all
)
-
-
For DKIM:
-
Host: Usually something like
google._domainkey
(your provider will specify this). -
Value: The long DKIM key provided by your email service.
-
-
For DMARC:
-
Host:
_dmarc
-
Value: (Example:
v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:your@email.com
)

⚠️ These records must be copied exactly as provided by your email service. Incorrect formatting can prevent email authentication from working.
THAT'S IT
DNS Changes May Take Time
Most updates go live within a few minutes, but full propagation across the internet can take up to 48 hours.
