Using an Existing Domain Name with PhotoBiz
Already have a domain name you registered somewhere else? Great news—you can easily connect it to your PhotoBiz website when you're ready to launch!
Before you begin, make sure you have access to your domain's settings so you can point it to your PhotoBiz site. This guide walks you through how to submit your domain setup request and get the 4 custom name servers you’ll need.

Important Note Before You Begin
We recommend finishing your website layout and design first.
Why? During the domain setup process, your website builder will be temporarily unavailable for 24–48 hours while your domain updates and your SSL certificate activates. Once complete, full access to your builder and content will be restored.
STEP ONE
Log in and Go to Domains
- Log into your PhotoBiz account.
- In the left-side menu, click DOMAINS.
STEP TWO
Choose “Use Your Existing Domain”
- Click the green button to request a domain setup using a domain you already own.
STEP THREE
Enter Your Domain Name and Email Info
- Type your existing domain name.
- Answer the question about branded email (for example, yourname@yourdomain.com).
If You Select YES for Email:
You’ll be asked to choose your current email provider from the following:
- Google Workspace
- GoDaddy
- Office 365
- Rackspace
- Network Solutions
- Other (you’ll be asked to type in the provider’s name)
📧 Why we ask: This helps avoid any downtime for your branded email during the domain transfer.
You'll also be asked for an alternate email address so we can still reach you during setup.
⚠️ Important:
Please do not change your name servers until PhotoBiz confirms your email MX records are added to our system. If updated too early, your email could temporarily go down. Once everything is in place, your email will be restored within 2–24 hours.
If You Select NO for Email:

You're All Set!
After you submit your domain request:
- You'll see a confirmation message.
- Our domain specialists will contact you within 24 business hours with your 4 unique name servers and instructions for updating them with your domain registrar.
What Happens Next?
- Once your name servers are updated and your domain is fully propagated, your PhotoBiz site will go live.
- If you had existing email accounts, they may go down briefly during this transition—but they’ll start working again once the domain finishes updating.
