Overview
If you offer in-studio pickup or local pickup at a specific location, you can create a free pickup option in your PhotoBiz ECommerce settings. This allows your clients to choose pickup instead of paying for shipping during checkout.
In this guide, you will learn how to create a free local pickup shipping method, customize how it appears to clients, and ensure it remains free even when other shipping fees exist. By the end, your pickup option will be available at checkout for eligible orders.
Log into your PhotoBiz account and click ECOMMERCE from the left-hand menu. This opens your ECommerce dashboard.
At the top of your ECommerce control panel, click PAYMENTS, then select SHIPPING from the dropdown menu. This takes you to your shipping settings.
Click the NEW SHIPPING METHOD button to begin creating a new option.
Set up your free pickup option by completing the fields in the right-side menu.
Enter a name that customers will easily recognize at checkout, such as Free In-Studio Pickup or Local Pickup. Add a description if needed to explain where and how pickup works. For example, you can include your address and let clients know they will be contacted when their order is ready.
For pricing, choose Flat Shipping and set the amount to $0.00. Then select Yes for Exclude Additional Shipping Charges so this option remains free, even if other products have extra shipping fees applied.
Click ADD SHIPPING OPTION to save your new pickup method. Your free local pickup option is now available for customers to select during checkout.
During checkout, your clients will see your free pickup option listed alongside any other available shipping methods. They can select pickup instead of shipping before completing their order.
