How to Set Up a Free Pickup Shipping Option

How to Create a Free Local Pickup Shipping Method in PhotoBiz ECommerce

If you offer in-studio pickup or local pickup at a set location, you can create a free pickup shipping method in your PhotoBiz ECommerce settings. This allows customers to choose pickup instead of paying for shipping during checkout.

This guide walks you through how to add a free local pickup option to your store.

STEP ONE

Log into your PhotoBiz account and click on ECOMMERCE in the left-side menu.

STEP TWO

At the top of your ECommerce control panel, click PAYMENT and select SHIPPING from the drop-down menu.

STEP THREE

Click the NEW SHIPPING METHOD button.

STEP FOUR

Set up your free pickup option by completing the fields in the right-side menu.

Enter the following details:

Name
Type a clear name customers will recognize during checkout, such as Free Pickup In Studio or Local Pickup.

Description (Optional)
Use this field to explain where and when customers can pick up their item.
Example: Pick up your order at our studio (123 Main St). We’ll email you when it’s ready.

Price
Choose Flat Shipping and set the price to $0.00.

Exclude Additional Shipping Charges
Select Yes to ensure this method stays free, even if individual products in your store have extra shipping fees applied.

FINAL STEP

Click ADD SHIPPING OPTION to add the new pickup method to your checkout options.

Additional Options / Helpful Notes

You can create multiple pickup methods if you offer more than one location.
If you also offer shipped products, customers will be able to choose between shipping and pickup when checking out.

What Your Clients Will See

Your clients will see all available shipping methods during checkout based on the price list assigned to the items they’re purchasing.
