How to Handle Suspicious or Phishing Emails in PhotoBiz Mailbox

If you receive a suspicious or unwanted email in your PhotoBiz Mailbox, you can quickly mark it as spam. This not only keeps your inbox organized but also helps improve your mailbox’s spam filter.

Important Note: Phishing emails are fake messages that pretend to be from trusted companies in order to trick you into sharing personal or financial information. Always check the sender’s email address carefully before clicking links or downloading attachments. If an email looks suspicious, it’s safer to mark it as spam.

STEP ONE

Log into your PhotoBiz Mailbox.

  • Go to https://mailbox.photobiz.com and log in with your email and password.

STEP TWO

Find and open the suspicious email.

  • Do not click on any links, buttons, or attachments in the message.

STEP THREE

Mark the email as spam.

You have two options:

  • Option 1: Drag and drop the email into your Spam folder.
  • Option 2: Click the More button in your inbox toolbar and select Mark as Spam.

The email will move to your spam folder and be flagged for improved filtering in the future.

FINAL STEP

Stay alert for phishing attempts.

  • Never provide personal information, passwords, or financial details by email.
  • If you’re unsure whether an email is legitimate, contact the company directly using a trusted phone number or website instead of replying to the message.

Red Flags of Phishing Emails

Watch out for these common signs of a phishing or scam email:

  • Suspicious Sender Address
The email address doesn’t match the company’s official domain (example: support@photo-biz123.com instead of supportteam@photobiz.com).

  • Generic Greetings
The message says “Dear Customer” instead of addressing you by name.

  • Poor Spelling & Grammar
Phishing emails often contain spelling mistakes, awkward wording, or incorrect punctuation.

  • Urgent or Threatening Language
Scammers try to scare you into quick action with phrases like “Your account will be closed” or “Immediate action required.”

  • Strange Links or Attachments
Hover your mouse over a link before clicking — if it doesn’t match the sender’s website, don’t click. Never download unexpected attachments.

  • Requests for Personal Information
Legitimate companies will never ask you to send passwords, credit card numbers, or sensitive details by email.

Why It’s Important

Marking spam helps PhotoBiz Mailbox learn which messages you don’t want to see, creating a cleaner and safer inbox over time.
