Overview
Your PhotoBiz Mailbox includes a Safe List that lets you allow trusted senders, domains, or IP addresses through your mailbox spam filtering. This can help make sure important emails from clients, vendors, newsletters, or business tools are delivered to your inbox instead of being filtered as spam.
In this guide, you will learn how to add an email address, domain, or IP address to your Safe List. You will also learn how to remove items from your Safe List when they are no longer needed.
PhotoBiz automatically includes trusted PhotoBiz and Zibster system senders in your Safe List. These entries help make sure you receive important account notifications, billing messages, form notices, order updates, and support-related emails.
Use the Safe List when you trust a sender and want to help prevent their messages from being filtered into spam. This is helpful for important client communication, vendor emails, trusted newsletters, booking tools, or other business-related senders you do not want to miss.
Only add senders you trust. When you add something to your Safe List, you are telling your mailbox to allow those messages through spam filtering.
You can add three types of entries to your Safe List:
name@example.com.example.com.For most users, safelisting a specific email address is the safest option. Be careful when safelisting an entire domain because it may allow messages from any sender using that domain.
Log in to your PhotoBiz Mailbox at https://mailbox.photobiz.com
Click the menu icon in the top-right corner of your mailbox, then select Settings from the dropdown menu.
Click Spam Settings to open your spam filtering options.
This area includes your Safe List and Block List settings.
Click the Safelist tab at the top of the Spam Settings area.
This is where you can manage trusted domains, email addresses, and IP addresses.
Click the type of item you want to add to your Safe List. You can choose Email, Domain, or IP Address.
A popup window will appear. Type or paste the email address, domain, or IP address you want to add, then click Add.
Your new Safe List entry will appear in the list. Click Save to apply your changes.
After saving, messages from that sender, domain, or IP address should be allowed through your mailbox spam filtering.
You can remove items from your Safe List if you no longer trust the sender or no longer need to allow their messages through spam filtering.
STEP ONE
Return to Spam Settings in your PhotoBiz Mailbox settings.
STEP TWO
Click the Safelist tab.
STEP THREE
Find the email address, domain, or IP address you want to remove from your Safe List.
Select the entry, then click the Delete button at the bottom of the list.
FINAL STEP
Click Save to confirm your changes.
The sender, domain, or IP address will be removed from your Safe List. Future messages from that source will be filtered normally by your mailbox spam settings.
Only add senders to your Safe List if you trust them completely.
PhotoBiz and Zibster system senders may already appear in your Safe List. These are included intentionally to help make sure you receive important account-related messages from PhotoBiz.
Use the Block List in Spam Settings if you need to block unwanted senders.
If you are not receiving an expected email, check your Spam folder, Block List, and Safe List for possible issues.
Be cautious when safelisting full domains. Safelisting one email address is usually safer than allowing an entire domain.
If you receive a suspicious email, do not click links, open attachments, or reply to the message. Mark the message as spam and delete it.
Rackspace, our email service provider, will not contact you directly by email to ask for your mailbox password or security details. If you receive a message claiming to be from Rackspace and asking for login information, treat it as suspicious.
Why are PhotoBiz or Zibster entries already in my Safe List?
PhotoBiz automatically includes trusted PhotoBiz and Zibster system senders in your Safe List. This helps make sure you receive important account notifications, billing messages, form notices, order updates, and support-related emails.
Should I safelist an email address or a domain?
In most cases, safelisting a specific email address is the best option. Safelisting a full domain allows messages from that entire domain, so you should only do that when you trust all senders using that domain.
Can the Safe List stop spam from reaching my mailbox?
No. The Safe List is used to allow trusted senders through spam filtering. To block unwanted senders, use the Block List in Spam Settings.
What should I do if I accidentally added the wrong sender?
Return to the Safelist tab in Spam Settings, select the entry, click Delete, then click Save. The sender will be removed from your Safe List.
