Overview
You may want to create or update a website page without showing it on your live website right away. In PhotoBiz, you can do this by creating a new page and setting the page visibility to Hidden while you work.
This guide explains how to create a hidden page, design it behind the scenes, and preview your work before making it visible on your website. Hidden pages are helpful when you want to build a new page, test a layout, or prepare a replacement page before visitors can access it.
Using the PhotoBiz AI Page Creator can also save time because it helps generate the page layout, image alt text, and SEO information for the page. This reduces the amount of manual setup needed before the page is ready to publish.
Log into your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu.
This opens your Website Builder, where you can manage your website pages and content.
Click the NEW PAGE button at the top of the Website Builder.
This opens the page creation options, where you can choose how you want to build your new page.
You can use the PhotoBiz AI Page Creator or click SKIP SETUP to bypass the creator and start with a blank page. Select the layout you want to use, then click CONTINUE in the right-side menu.
Enter the page details for your new page.
Add a page name, choose any available setup options, and set the page visibility to Hidden. This keeps the page from appearing in your live website navigation while you design it.
Once your settings are ready, click CONTINUE in the right-side panel.
Upload your images to your new page.
The layout you selected may require a specific number of images before the PhotoBiz AI Page Creator can generate the page draft. Add the required images, then continue through the page creation process.
Build and preview your hidden page.
Your new page will be added to your Website Builder page list. You can add blocks, edit content, upload images, and preview your work before making the page visible.
When you are ready for visitors to access the page, open the page settings and change the page visibility from Hidden to Visible.
Using the PhotoBiz AI Page Creator is recommended when you want help creating a page faster. It can generate the page layout, apply alt text to your images, and complete SEO information for the page during the setup process.
If you skip the PhotoBiz AI Page Creator and start with a blank page, you can still build the page manually by adding blocks. You will also need to review and add image alt text and SEO information yourself.
Hidden pages do not appear in your website navigation, but you can still preview and edit them inside your Website Builder.
If you are creating a replacement page for an existing live page, keep the original page active until the new version is ready. This helps prevent visitors from seeing a missing page or broken link while you work.
If you copied an existing page, review any buttons, footer links, menu links, or other internal links on the copied page. Some links may still point to the original page. Update those links using the Link to Page option when needed.
When you are ready to replace a live page with your hidden page, you may also need to update the page URL so the new page uses the original page URL.
