How to Enable Free Digital Downloads in Client Galleries
Client Galleries are included with all PhotoBiz Website Packages and can also be used with third-party websites. With either option, you can offer your clients digital file downloads—either for free or for purchase. This guide walks you through how to activate free digital file downloads for new and existing events.

STEP ONE
Sign into your PhotoBiz account and go to Client Galleries in the main menu.
STEP TWO
Choose NEW EVENT or Access An Existing Event
You can create a new client event or click on the event name of an existing event if you wish to turn on free file downloads for an existing client event.
For New Events

Click New Event.

Complete the general event details:

Event Name
-
Expiration Date
-
Password
-
Price List
-
Email Automation Series (optional)

In the Allow Free Downloads section, choose one of the following options:

No – Free downloads are turned off (default).

Yes – All gallery visitors can download files for free.

Yes, with code – Only visitors with a download code can download files for free.

Select the Download Resolution you want to offer:

Web Size – Low Resolution: Up to 1500 x 865 pixels at 72 dpi

Web Size – High Resolution: Up to 3000 x 1730 pixels at 72 dpi

Original Files: Full-size files (up to 50MB each).

When you’re finished setting up your event, click Create Event at the bottom of the page.
EXISTING EVENT ACTIVATING FREE DOWNLOADS
For Existing Events
You can also enable free downloads on an event you've already created.
In your Client Galleries dashboard, click the name of the event you want to update.

Review or edit the existing settings (Event Name, Expiration Date, Password, Price List, and Email Automation).

Scroll to the Allow Free Downloads section and choose one of the three options:

No

Yes
-
Yes, with code
-

Choose your preferred Download Resolution:

Web Size – Low Resolution
-
Web Size – High Resolution

Original Files (premium upgrade)

Save your changes.
With FREE FILE DOWNLOADS now available, your client can access their images and download them via the Client Galleries event you've created for them.
Your client will need to first click or tap on the image to see the larger version of the image. This will give them the download icon.
Final Notes
Once enabled, your clients will be able to download digital images according to the permissions and file size you’ve selected. Whether offering downloads openly or with a code, this feature is a flexible way to deliver images quickly and professionally.
Once the client clicks/taps on the download button, your Client Galleries gallery will capture their email address so that the activity is captured in your Client Galleries Activity settings. Once the client clicks submit, the image will download to their machine/device.
