How Do I Adjust The Banner Block for Mobile Users?

March 19, 2025 | By: PhotoBiz Knowledge Base

Share

The Banner Block allows you to create sections on your website that showcase images with text and/or buttons to encourage visitor engagement. Since mobile devices have smaller screens and different orientations than desktops, banner layouts may appear differently across devices. To ensure your banners look great on all screens, PhotoBiz provides an option to upload mobile-specific images.

Uploading Mobile Images to Your Banner Block

STEP ONE

Log into your PhotoBiz account and go to the WEBSITE section.

STEP TWO

Select the page that contains the Banner Block you want to update.

STEP THREE

Click on the Banner Block, and locate the MOBILE IMAGES option. Here, you can upload a separate set of images to display specifically on mobile devices.

💡 Pro Tip:

Mobile users typically view websites in a vertical (portrait) orientation, while desktops use a horizontal (landscape) view. This feature is especially useful when using Classic layouts to ensure your images display properly on all devices.

📱 Mobile Image Size: 1080 x 1920 pixels (or a similar 9:16 ratio)
📏 Aspect Ratio: 9:16 (best for most smartphones)

This ensures the mobile image is optimized for vertical viewing while keeping the composition clean.

Once you've uploaded your mobile images, you'll see thumbnails of the images assigned to this section. These images will automatically be shown to visitors viewing your site on a phone.

STEP FOUR

Now that you’ve uploaded mobile images, you can select a custom layout to optimize their appearance.

  1. Open the Banner Block settings.
  2. Locate the layout options section.
  3. Click on the dropdown menu within your selected layout to choose from the following options:
    • Full Screen
    • Medium
    • Short
    • Thin
  4. Select your preferred layout and click Save Changes.

Your mobile-friendly banners are now set up and ready to enhance the experience for mobile visitors!
