Overview
You can delete a block from a page in the PhotoBiz Website Builder when you no longer need it. Deleting a block permanently removes its settings and any content stored directly inside it. Blocks that display content managed in another PhotoBiz dashboard work differently because the original content remains available after the block is removed. This guide explains how to delete a block and what happens to its content.
Deleting a block is permanent and cannot be undone. Review the block carefully and save anything you may want to use again before confirming the deletion.
Content created or stored directly inside a block is deleted with the block. This may include:
You will need to recreate or upload this content again if you want to use it later.
Blocks That Display Content from Another Dashboard
Some blocks display content that is managed separately elsewhere in your PhotoBiz account.
Deleting the following blocks removes the block from the website page but does not delete the original content:
For example, deleting a Blog Block does not delete your blog posts. Deleting a Products Block, Services Block, or Scheduler Block also does not delete the content managed through its respective dashboard.
You can add another block later and display that content again.
Important Information About Images Blocks
Deleting an Images Block may also permanently delete the images displayed inside it.
Images saved to the Image Clipboard remain available in your account after the block is deleted. Images that exist only inside the Images Block and are not stored on the Image Clipboard are permanently deleted with the block.
Deleting these images immediately makes their file storage space available for new uploads. If you need to use a deleted image again and it is not on the Image Clipboard, you must upload the original image file again.
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and select WEBSITE from the left-side menu.
Select the page containing the block you want to delete.
Locate the block on the page. Select the pencil icon in the upper-right corner of the block to open its editing menu.
Select Delete from the block menu.
A confirmation message will appear:
ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO DELETE THIS BLOCK?
This action cannot be undone. The block and all content within it will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Select Yes, Delete It to confirm.
The block will be removed from the page immediately. PhotoBiz automatically applies the change to your website, so there is no separate publish step.
Review the page to confirm that the remaining content and spacing appear as expected.
Save Content Before Deleting
Before deleting a block, copy any text, links, HTML, or embed codes you may want to reuse. Confirm that you also have the original files for any images that are not saved to the Image Clipboard.
Confirm You Selected the Correct Block
Blocks may contain similar text, images, or layouts. Confirm that you opened the editing menu for the correct block before selecting DELETE.
Review DuoBuild Layouts
If the block is part of a DuoBuild layout, deleting it may change the position or width of the remaining block. The remaining block may expand across the available page width.
Review the page after deletion and adjust the layout if needed.
Deleting a Block Does Not Delete the Page
Deleting a block only removes the selected block. It does not delete the page or affect blocks on other pages.
