How to Delete a Client Gallery Event in PhotoBiz

Overview

Your PhotoBiz Website Package includes Client Galleries, where you can privately showcase, proof, and sell images from client sessions. When you no longer need a gallery, you can permanently delete the event from the Client Galleries Dashboard.

This guide explains how to delete one or more Client Gallery events. It also explains what is permanently removed, what remains available in your account, how deletion affects completed orders and file downloads, and when changing the event expiration date may be a better option.

Important Information Before You Delete an Event

Deleting a Client Gallery event is permanent and cannot be undone. After you confirm the deletion, you cannot restore the event, its images, or its associated activity.

Deleting an event permanently removes:

The Client Gallery event
All images uploaded to the event
Client favorites and favorites lists
Visitor comments and other event activity
Saved cart items associated with the event
Email automation activity and data associated with the event

The images are immediately removed from your account when you delete the event. This makes the storage space used by those files available for new uploads.

Deleting an event does not remove or change completed orders. Completed order records remain available in the ECommerce Dashboard.

However, files stored in the deleted event will no longer be available for download. Any existing download links connected to those files will stop working after the event is deleted, including links associated with completed orders.

Contact records also remain available in your PhotoBiz Control Panel.

Before deleting an event, download any files you want to keep and save any favorites, comments, or activity information you may need later. If you need the gallery again, you will have to create a new event and upload the images again.

STEP ONE

This opens the Client Galleries Dashboard, where you can manage your events, gallery settings, client activity, and other Client Galleries features.

STEP TWO

Click EVENTS at the top of the Client Galleries Dashboard.

The Events section displays the Client Gallery events currently stored in your account.

STEP THREE

Find the event you want to delete and check the box to the left of the event name.

You can select one event or check multiple boxes to delete several Client Gallery events at the same time. Carefully review every selected event before continuing because each selected event will be permanently deleted.

FINAL STEP

Click the DELETE button at the top of the event list.

A confirmation message will appear:

Are you sure you want to delete this event?

Images, customer activity, and email automation data will be removed.

Review the confirmation message carefully. Click Yes, Delete It when you are ready to permanently delete the selected event.

The event, its images, and its associated activity will immediately be removed from the Client Galleries Dashboard. The storage space used by the deleted images will become available for new uploads.

Completed orders will remain unchanged in the ECommerce Dashboard. However, files removed with the event will no longer be available through existing download links.

Delete an Event, Delete Individual Images, or Change the Expiration Date?

If you only need to remove certain images, you do not need to delete the entire event. You can delete individual images while keeping the event and its remaining images available. See How to Delete Images from Client Galleries Events.

Delete the event when you no longer need the gallery, its images, or its activity.
Delete individual images when you only want to remove certain files or free part of your account storage.
Change the expiration date when you want to restrict access without permanently deleting the event.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I restore a deleted Client Gallery event?

No. Deleted events, images, favorites, comments, saved cart items, and email automation data cannot be restored.

If you need the gallery again, you must create a new event and upload the images again.

Does deleting an event free up storage space?

Yes. The images stored in the event are immediately removed from your account. The storage space used by those images becomes available for new uploads as soon as the event is deleted.

Does deleting an event affect completed orders?

No. Deleting a Client Gallery event does not change or remove completed orders. Completed order records remain available in the ECommerce Dashboard.

Can clients still download purchased files after I delete the event?

No. Files stored in the deleted event will no longer be available for download. Existing download links connected to those files will stop working after the event is deleted.

The completed order record will remain in the ECommerce Dashboard, but the deleted files cannot be downloaded from the order.

Are contact records deleted with the event?

No. Contact records remain available in your PhotoBiz Control Panel after the event is deleted.

Can I delete multiple Client Gallery events at once?

Yes. Check the box beside each event you want to remove, then click DELETE.

Review your selections carefully before confirming the deletion because all selected events and their associated files and activity will be permanently removed.
