How to Change Fonts on a Form Block in PhotoBiz

Overview

PhotoBiz Form Blocks use the global font settings from your website design by default. You can customize an individual Form Block when you want its title, text, form fields, or button text to use different typography without changing fonts throughout the rest of your website.

Each font section lets you choose a font face from the PhotoBiz font bank and adjust its font size, letter spacing, and line height. You can also remove individual customizations and return to your global design settings.

This guide walks you through changing the font settings for a Form Block in the PhotoBiz Website Builder.

STEP ONE

Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu. This opens the Website Builder.

STEP TWO

Click the page that contains the Form Block you want to customize. Open the settings for the Form Block, then click FONTS in the right-side menu.

The FONTS section displays separate typography controls for the title, text, form field text, and button text used by the Form Block.

STEP THREE

To change a font face, hover over the font preview for the section you want to edit. A pencil icon will appear in the upper-right corner of the font preview.

Click the font preview or pencil icon to open the PhotoBiz font bank for that section.

STEP FOUR

Use the PhotoBiz font bank to find the font you want to use. You can select from recently used fonts, your website's global fonts under MY FONTS, or browse the complete font library by category.

Hover over the font you want to use and click SAVE. PhotoBiz applies the selected font to the section you are editing and returns you to the Form Block FONTS settings.

STEP FIVE

To change the font size, letter spacing, or line height, hover over the settings displayed below the font preview. A pencil icon will appear on the right side.

Click the settings area or pencil icon to open the font properties panel. Use the sliders for FONT SIZE, LETTER SPACING, and LINE HEIGHT to adjust the typography. Click to the left or right along a slider to decrease or increase the setting.

As you adjust the sliders, the preview at the top of the right-side panel updates so you can see how your changes will look before applying them.

FINAL STEP

Click SAVE CHANGES at the bottom of the font properties panel to apply your settings. PhotoBiz returns you to the Form Block FONTS section.

Repeat these steps for any other font sections you want to customize. Your changes apply to this Form Block without changing the typography used elsewhere on your website.

Form Block Font Sections

You can customize the following areas of a Form Block independently:

  • TITLE: Controls the font settings for the Form Block title.
  • TEXT: Controls the general text used within the Form Block.
  • FORM FIELD TEXT: Controls the text associated with the form fields your visitors complete.
  • BUTTON TEXT: Controls the text displayed on the form button.

Because each area has its own settings, you can use different font faces, sizes, letter spacing, and line heights within the same Form Block.

Choosing Fonts From the PhotoBiz Font Bank

The PhotoBiz font bank gives you several ways to browse available fonts:

  • Recently Used: Shows fonts you have applied recently.
  • MY FONTS: Shows the fonts currently selected in your website's global DESIGN settings.
  • ALL: Displays all available fonts.
  • SERIF: Displays serif fonts.
  • SANS-SERIF: Displays sans-serif fonts.
  • MONOSPACE: Displays monospace fonts.
  • SCRIPT: Displays script-style fonts.
  • HANDWRITTEN: Displays handwritten-style fonts.

If you want your Form Block to stay consistent with the typography used throughout your website, MY FONTS makes it easy to choose from the fonts already selected in your global design settings.

Font Size, Letter Spacing, and Line Height

In addition to changing the font face, you can fine-tune the appearance of each font section using three properties:

  • FONT SIZE: Controls how large or small the text appears.
  • LETTER SPACING: Controls the amount of horizontal space between characters.
  • LINE HEIGHT: Controls the vertical spacing between lines of text.

The preview in the font properties panel updates as you make adjustments, allowing you to review your changes before clicking SAVE CHANGES.

Global Fonts and Form Block Customizations

By default, your Form Block uses the typography configured in your website's global DESIGN settings.

When you change settings within an individual Form Block, those settings override the corresponding global settings for that block. The changes do not affect other Form Blocks or typography elsewhere on your website.

If you want to change the fonts used across your entire website instead of customizing one Form Block, see How Do I Change My Fonts?

How to Remove a Font Property Customization

When you customize FONT SIZE, LETTER SPACING, or LINE HEIGHT, a CUSTOMIZED flag appears next to that property.

Click the X on the CUSTOMIZED flag to remove the individual customization. That property will return to the value defined by your website's global design settings.

You can reset one property without removing the other typography customizations you have made to the Form Block.

How to Return to a Global Font Face

Font faces work a little differently from font size, letter spacing, and line height.

To return a customized font face to one of the fonts used in your global website design, open the PhotoBiz font bank and click MY FONTS. Select the global font you want to use, then click SAVE.

Because MY FONTS reflects the fonts currently selected in your global DESIGN settings, this is the quickest way to return the Form Block to typography that matches the rest of your website.

Helpful Notes

Your Form Block font settings apply to the individual Form Block you are editing. Customizing one Form Block does not automatically change other Form Blocks on your website.

For a consistent website design, start with the fonts available under MY FONTS before selecting additional fonts from the full PhotoBiz font library.

Use the live preview when adjusting FONT SIZE, LETTER SPACING, and LINE HEIGHT. Small adjustments can improve readability while keeping the typography consistent with the rest of your website.

There are not separate desktop and mobile font settings for the Form Block. The font settings you configure here control the Form Block typography.
