Overview
Your global footer colors establish the default background and text colors used throughout your website footer. Updating these settings helps you match your branding and keep footer information easy to read. FOOTER BACKGROUND controls the overall footer background, while FOOTER CONTENT TEXT controls the default font color throughout the footer, including your PhotoBiz branding text. Individual footer blocks can also have custom colors that override the corresponding global settings.
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu.
Click DESIGN at the top of your Website control panel.
Click EDIT DESIGN SETTINGS in the upper-right area of the Design screen.
Click COLORS in the design settings menu.
This opens your global Color Picker. Your footer background and text colors are managed in two separate groups: BACKGROUND COLORS and TEXT COLORS.
Under BACKGROUND COLORS, find FOOTER BACKGROUND and click the color square next to it.
In the color picker, use the vertical rainbow slider to choose a color range, then click within the large color box to select your shade. You can also select a color from YOUR ACCENT COLORS or RECENTLY USED.
If you know your brand color’s HEX code, enter it in the HEX field. You can also enter specific HSL or RGB values using the available fields.
Click OK to confirm your selection. You will save your changes after updating your footer text color.
Under TEXT COLORS, find FOOTER CONTENT TEXT and click the color square next to it.
The same color picker opens. Use the vertical rainbow slider and large color box, select from YOUR ACCENT COLORS or RECENTLY USED, or enter a HEX, HSL, or RGB value.
Choose a text color that is easy to read against your footer background. This setting controls the default font color throughout your footer, including the PhotoBiz branding text. Custom text colors applied within individual footer blocks override this setting.
Click OK to confirm your selection.
Click SAVE CHANGES at the bottom of the design settings panel.
Your saved footer colors take effect on your website. Open your website and scroll to the footer to review the background and text together. Check desktop and mobile views, including smaller text, links, copyright information, and PhotoBiz branding.
If a footer block does not reflect your changes, review its individual color settings. A custom background or text color applied within that block overrides the corresponding global footer color.
Visitors see your updated colors wherever your global footer appears on your website. FOOTER BACKGROUND sets the overall color behind your footer content, while FOOTER CONTENT TEXT sets the default font color throughout that area.
Changing FOOTER CONTENT TEXT also changes the PhotoBiz branding text in your footer. Review all footer text after making an adjustment to make sure it remains easy to read against the background directly behind it.
Footer blocks with custom colors continue using those colors for the elements you customized.
You can also customize colors within individual footer blocks. Depending on the block type and selected layout, you can adjust the background, text, and other available color settings.
A custom color overrides the corresponding global footer color for that block. Other elements in the block may continue using your global colors.
For example, if you give one footer block a custom background color, changing FOOTER BACKGROUND will not replace that block’s custom background.
For instructions on changing block colors or resetting them to your global settings, follow How to Customize Colors in Individual Blocks on Your PhotoBiz Website.
Why did part of my footer keep its original background or text color?
That footer block may have custom colors applied. Click the block in your footer to review its individual color settings. A custom background or text color overrides the corresponding global footer setting for that block.
How do I make the PhotoBiz branding text easier to read?
Adjust FOOTER CONTENT TEXT, FOOTER BACKGROUND, or both to increase the contrast between the text and its background. Footer Content Text also affects other text throughout the footer, so review the entire footer after saving.
Can I change the colors of just one footer block?
Yes. Use that block’s individual color settings to customize its available colors. Follow the individual block colors guide for instructions.
For color settings used in specific website features, follow these guides:
For the separate accent color managed under BRANDING, see How to Change Your Branding Accent Color.
