How to Assign Shipping Methods to a Price List in PhotoBiz

Overview

PhotoBiz ECommerce allows you to create shipping methods and assign them to specific price lists. This gives you control over which shipping options are available during checkout.

Shipping methods on your Global Price List apply to the ECommerce website checkout. Client Galleries event checkout will only show the shipping methods included on the price list assigned to that specific event.

This guide walks you through how to assign shipping methods to a price list in your PhotoBiz ECommerce Dashboard.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have created the shipping methods you want to use. Shipping methods are managed in the ECommerce Dashboard under the Shipping section.

If you are updating shipping options for a Client Galleries event, make sure you know which price list is assigned to that event.

Important Note About Price Lists and Shipping

Shipping methods on your Global Price List apply to the ECommerce website checkout. This controls which shipping options customers see when they purchase products or services through public ECommerce areas on your website.

Client Galleries event checkout will only show the shipping methods included on the price list assigned to that specific event. This allows you to offer different shipping options for different galleries, events, or client workflows.

For example, one Client Galleries event can offer Flat Rate Shipping and In-Person Pickup, while another event can offer Free Shipping only.

STEP ONE

Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click ECOMMERCE in the left-side menu. This opens your ECommerce Dashboard, where you can manage products, services, price lists, orders, shipping methods, taxes, coupons, and other selling tools.

STEP TWO

At the top of the ECommerce Dashboard, hover over PAYMENT and click SHIPPING in the dropdown menu. This opens the Shipping section, where you can create and manage the shipping methods available in your account.

STEP THREE

Add any shipping methods you want to make available for your price lists. These may include options such as flat rate shipping, free shipping, local pickup, or other shipping methods you use for your business.

After your shipping methods are created, you can assign them to individual price lists.

STEP FOUR

At the top of the ECommerce Dashboard, hover over SELL ONLINE and click PRICE LISTS in the dropdown menu. This opens the Price Lists section, where you can manage the pricing and checkout options used for your ECommerce website checkout and Client Galleries event checkout.

STEP FIVE

Click the name of an existing price list you want to update, or add a new price list if you are creating a new set of pricing and shipping options.

The shipping methods selected on this price list will control which shipping options customers see when this price list is used at checkout.

FINAL STEP

In the SHIPPING METHODS section, select Custom. Then check the boxes for the shipping methods you want to apply to this price list.

Click SAVE CHANGES at the bottom of the page to finalize your shipping settings.

Once saved, the selected shipping methods will be available when a customer checks out using this price list.

Client Experience

The shipping methods a client sees at checkout depend on where they are purchasing and which price list is being used.

For ECommerce website checkout:

  • Customers will see the shipping methods assigned to your Global Price List.
  • This applies when customers purchase products or services through public ECommerce areas on your website.

For Client Galleries event checkout:

  • Clients will only see the shipping methods included on the price list assigned to that specific Client Galleries event.
  • This allows each gallery event to have its own checkout and shipping options.

For example:

  • If the event price list includes Flat Rate Shipping and In-Person Pickup, those will be the only shipping choices available during checkout.
  • If the event price list includes Free Shipping, clients will not see other shipping methods that are connected to a different price list.
  • If specific prints or products have additional shipping charges assigned, those item-specific charges may still apply even when a free shipping method is available.

This helps you tailor shipping options for each gallery event, product workflow, or customer checkout experience.

Additional Options or Helpful Notes

Shipping methods must be created before they can be assigned to a price list.

Your Global Price List controls the shipping methods customers see during ECommerce website checkout.

Client Galleries events use the shipping methods included on the price list assigned to that event.

You can assign different price lists to different Client Galleries events if you want each event to have different pricing, products, or shipping methods.

If you update shipping methods on a price list, the changes apply to future checkouts that use that price list.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

Why is my client not seeing the correct shipping option in a Client Galleries event?

Check the price list assigned to that Client Galleries event. The event checkout will only show shipping methods included on the assigned price list.

Why are website customers seeing different shipping options than my gallery clients?

Website customers use the shipping methods assigned to your Global Price List. Client Galleries event checkout uses the shipping methods included on the price list assigned to that event.

Can different Client Galleries events have different shipping methods?

Yes. You can assign different price lists to different Client Galleries events. Each price list can have its own shipping methods.

Why is free shipping showing, but my client still has a shipping charge?

Some prints or products may have additional shipping charges assigned directly to them. These item-specific shipping charges may still apply even when a free shipping method is available.

Do I need to create shipping methods before assigning them to a price list?

Yes. Shipping methods must be created in the Shipping section of your ECommerce Dashboard before they can be selected on a price list.
