Overview
When you share a PhotoBiz website page on Facebook, the link preview may include a title, description, and thumbnail image. PhotoBiz uses the first image displayed in a content block on that page as its Open Graph image.
To change the image shown on Facebook, update the first image displayed on the page. You can then use Facebook’s Sharing Debugger to ask Facebook to refresh its saved preview.
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu.
Locate the page you plan to share on Facebook and click its name to open the page editor.
The Facebook preview is created for each individual page URL. Changing the first image on one page will not change the preview image for other pages on your website.
Change the first image displayed in a content block on the page to the image you want Facebook to show.
The first image may be displayed in a Banner Block, Images Block, Text + Image Block, List Block, Blog Block, or another block containing an image. PhotoBiz does not have a separate field for uploading a Facebook or Open Graph image.
Your change is automatically applied to your website. You do not need to publish the page separately.
Open the Facebook Sharing Debugger and enter the complete public URL of the page you updated. Include https:// and the full page path.
Click DEBUG to view the information Facebook currently has saved for the page.
You may need to log in to a Facebook account before you can use the Sharing Debugger.
Click SCRAPE AGAIN to ask Facebook to scan the page again and retrieve its current Open Graph information.
Review the Link Preview section to confirm that Facebook detected the new image. You may need to click SCRAPE AGAIN more than once before the updated image appears.
For the best results:
Facebook saves, or caches, website information to create link previews. Because of this, Facebook may continue showing an older image after you update the page.
The Sharing Debugger asks Facebook to retrieve the current page information, but PhotoBiz cannot control how quickly Facebook updates its cache or how Facebook crops and displays the image.
Previously published Facebook posts may continue to show their original preview. Refreshing the page through the Sharing Debugger does not guarantee that the preview on an existing post will change.
The Facebook Sharing Debugger only refreshes information saved by Facebook. Other services, such as iMessage or X, manage their own link previews and caches.
PhotoBiz Support can help you update the images displayed on your PhotoBiz website and explain how PhotoBiz provides page information to Facebook.
