Overview
PhotoBiz allows you to create county-specific sales tax lines so the correct tax can be applied based on your client’s location. These tax lines can be used with ECommerce, Quotes & Invoices, Scheduler, Form Payments, and Client Galleries. This guide walks you through how to add a county tax line in your account. By the end, you will have a tax rule in place for orders that match that county.
Important Note: PhotoBiz Support cannot advise you on the correct sales tax rates for your area. You should check with a local tax professional to confirm the correct tax rates for your city, county, state or province, and country.
Log into your PhotoBiz account and click ECOMMERCE in the left-side menu.
At the top of the ECommerce control panel, hover over PAYMENTS and click TAXES from the dropdown menu.
Click NEW TAX LINE to create a new sales tax line for the county where you need to collect tax.
Enter the details for your county tax line. Add a description so you can easily identify the tax, enter the sales tax rate, choose the correct state, and type the county name exactly as needed. You can also choose whether sales tax should apply to shipping charges.
When everything is filled out, click ADD TAX LINE to save it.
Repeat this process for any additional counties where you need to collect sales tax. Once your tax lines are set up, PhotoBiz will automatically apply the matching sales tax at checkout when a client’s location matches that county.
