Overview
Adding video to your marketing emails is a great way to increase engagement and drive more clicks. However, most email providers do not support embedded video playback, which means videos cannot be directly embedded inside your email campaign.
Instead, PhotoBiz uses a reliable and widely supported method by allowing you to link a video using an image. When subscribers click the image, they are taken to your video on your website or a hosting platform.
In this guide, you will learn how to add a video link to your email campaign using an image block. By the end, your subscribers will be able to easily access and watch your video.
Before you begin, make sure:
Log into your PhotoBiz account and click on MARKETING in the left-side menu. This will open your Email Campaign dashboard.
Click NEW CAMPAIGN to create a new email, or click on the name of an existing campaign to edit it. This will open the campaign builder. If you have multiple campaigns or categories, you can use the search bar to quickly locate the one you want to edit.
Add an Images Block to your email layout and upload a thumbnail or screenshot from your video using the right-side panel.
Using a thumbnail with a play button overlay helps clearly indicate that the image links to a video.
Click on the image you added and enter the Link URL for your video. This can be a link to your PhotoBiz website, YouTube, Vimeo, or another video hosting platform.
Click SAVE CHANGES to apply your updates.
Once saved, your image will act as a clickable video link. When subscribers click the image in your email, they will be taken directly to your video.
