How to Create a Lead Capture Form with a Free Download in PhotoBiz

PhotoBiz makes it easy to grow your email list and offer something valuable in return—like a free downloadable guide, PDF, or resource. This step-by-step guide will show you how to:

  1. Upload your free download file

  2. Create a form to collect email addresses

  3. Add that form to your website

STEP ONE

Upload Your Free Download File

  1. Log in to your PhotoBiz account.

  2. From the left-hand menu, click Files.

  3. Upload the file you want to offer as a free download (like a PDF, guide, or checklist).

Need help with file uploads? Check out our File Upload Guide (link to your internal help guide).

STEP TWO

Copy the Download Link

Once your file is uploaded:

  1. Find the file in your Files section.

  2. Click to copy the file's link — you'll use this link later to deliver the download to your visitors after they submit the form.

STEP THREE

Create or Edit Your Email Capture Form

  1. Go to the Forms section in your dashboard.

  2. Hover over Forms and click the Form Name to edit or Create a New Form.

Pro Tip:
Start with a Newsletter Sign-Up or Blog Sign-Up template for quick setup. Or, create a blank form and include only the Email field for a simple lead capture form.

STEP FOUR

Edit Form Settings

  1. In the form editor, click the gear icon (Edit Settings) in the upper-right corner.

  2. Then click Settings in the dropdown menu that appears.

STEP FIVE

Set Up the Free Download Delivery

You have two ways to deliver the free download:

Option 1: Show the download link after form submission (on the thank-you screen)

  • Set Email Thank You Message to No

  • Add a message like:
“Thanks for signing up! Click here to download your free guide.”
  • Use the link you copied in Step Two.

Option 2: Send the download by email

  • Set Email Thank You Message to Yes

  • Add the download link in the body of your confirmation email

When you're done, scroll down and click Save Changes to apply your settings.

FINAL STEP

Add Your Form to a Page on Your Website

  1. Go to the Website section in your dashboard.

  2. Choose the page where you'd like your form to appear, or create a new one.

  3. Add a Form Block to the page.

  4. Select your newly created form from the list.

That’s it! You're ready to start collecting leads and sharing your free download.
