Overview
You can create a PhotoBiz ECommerce coupon that applies specifically to digital image downloads sold through your Client Galleries. This allows you to offer promotions such as a percentage discount on selected digital download sizes without discounting every item in the client's cart.
This guide walks you through creating a % Off Single Item coupon and limiting it to specific digital image download sizes. By the end, clients will be able to enter your coupon code during Client Galleries checkout and receive the discount when an eligible digital download is in their cart.
Before you create the coupon, make sure your digital image download sizes have already been created in ECommerce and added to the Price List used by your Client Gallery.
If you still need to configure digital downloads, see How to Sell Individual Digital Downloads in PhotoBiz Client Galleries.
If you need to create or update a Client Galleries Price List, see How to Create a New Price List.
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click ECOMMERCE in the left-side menu.
This opens the ECommerce Dashboard, where you can manage your products, services, payments, coupons, and other ECommerce settings.
At the top of the ECommerce Dashboard, mouse over PAYMENT, then click COUPONS from the menu.
This opens your Coupons area, where you can create and manage promotional codes for ECommerce and Client Galleries purchases.
Click NEW COUPON.
The coupon type selection screen will open and display the different discount options available in your account.
Click % Off Single Item.
This coupon type works well when you want to offer a percentage discount on an eligible digital image download without applying the discount to the client's entire order.
Enter your coupon settings. Add the Discount Code clients will enter at checkout, then set the required Begin Date, Expiration Date, and Discount Amount.
You can also enter a Description for your records and set a Max Number of Uses if you want to limit how many times the coupon can be redeemed.
Enter the Discount Amount as a whole-number percentage. For example, enter 20 for a 20% discount, not .20.
When your settings are complete, click Next Choose Item.
Select Specific Items.
In the Item Type dropdown, select Prints / Digital Images. Your available print sizes and digital image download options will appear in the Items dropdown.
In the Items dropdown, select the digital image download size or sizes you want the coupon to apply to.
When your eligible digital downloads are selected, click Create Coupon.
Your coupon is now created. Clients can use it according to the Begin Date, Expiration Date, eligible digital image sizes, and any other requirements you configured.

When a client adds an eligible digital image download to their Client Galleries shopping cart, they can enter the coupon code during checkout.
If the coupon is valid and the items in the cart meet the requirements you configured, the discount appears in the order and the total updates before the client completes checkout.
Only one coupon code can be applied to an order.
If the coupon is invalid or the items in the cart do not meet its requirements, the checkout screen will let the client know that the coupon cannot be applied.
You can use several other PhotoBiz coupon types for digital image promotions depending on the offer you want to run:
Each coupon type has different configuration options and requirements.
For detailed instructions, see:
Digital image download sizes appear under Prints / Digital Images when you select items for a coupon. After selecting this Item Type, choose the eligible digital download size or sizes from the Items dropdown.
A coupon only applies to the items and requirements you configure. If you select specific digital download sizes, other products, prints, services, or downloads that were not selected will not qualify for that coupon.
You can also create single-use coupons when you need to provide a unique promotion to one client. See How to Create a Single Use Coupon in PhotoBiz ECommerce.
If you need to change an existing coupon, see How to Edit or Disable a Coupon.
Why don't I see my digital downloads when choosing coupon items?
Make sure Prints / Digital Images is selected as the Item Type. Your available digital image download sizes will appear in the Items dropdown.
Why isn't my coupon working on a digital download?
Confirm that the digital image size in the client's cart was included in the coupon's eligible items. You should also check the Begin Date, Expiration Date, Max Number of Uses, and any other requirements configured for the coupon.
Why does the checkout say the items do not qualify?
The item in the client's cart must match the items or categories included in the coupon. If the digital image size was not selected when the coupon was created, the discount will not apply to that download.
