Overview
You can add DNS records for GoHighLevel inside your PhotoBiz account if your domain is using AWS Route 53 nameservers through PhotoBiz. This allows you to manage records such as A Records, CNAME Records, TXT Records, MX Records, and SRV Records from your PhotoBiz Domains area.
This guide walks you through how to open your DNS Zone Editor, add the records provided by GoHighLevel, and save your changes. After the records are saved, you can return to GoHighLevel to verify or validate the setup.
Please note that PhotoBiz is not affiliated with GoHighLevel. PhotoBiz Support can help you add DNS records to your domain, but questions about GoHighLevel setup, billing, validation, or account-specific functionality should be directed to GoHighLevel Support.
Before you begin, make sure:
DNS management is only available for domains using AWS Route 53 nameservers. If your domain is still using legacy nameservers, the DNS Zone Editor will not be available.
If needed, see How to Upgrade Your Domain Name Servers.
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click DOMAINS in the left-side menu.
This opens the Domains section of your account, where you can view and manage the domains connected to your PhotoBiz account.
Find the domain you need to update, then click MANAGE DNS.
This opens the DNS Zone Editor for that domain. The DNS Zone Editor is where you can add, edit, and manage DNS records for your domain.
Click NEW DNS RECORD.
Choose the record type that matches the instructions provided by GoHighLevel. Make sure you select the correct record type before entering the record details.
Enter the DNS record details exactly as provided by GoHighLevel.
Depending on the record type, this may include the hostname, value, IP address, priority, or other required information. DNS records must be entered carefully because small differences in spelling, punctuation, or spacing can prevent the record from validating correctly.
Click SAVE CHANGES to apply the new DNS record.
After the record is saved, return to your GoHighLevel account and follow their instructions to verify or validate the DNS record. Most DNS updates take effect within a few minutes, but full propagation across the internet may take up to 48 hours.
GoHighLevel may ask you to add different types of DNS records depending on the feature you are setting up.
Common DNS record types include:
Only add records that were provided by GoHighLevel or another trusted provider. Editing DNS settings incorrectly can affect your website, email, domain verification, or other connected services.
