Overview
You can set up your PhotoBiz Mailbox in Apple Mail on a macOS computer, such as an iMac, MacBook, or MacBook Pro. This allows you to send and receive email from your PhotoBiz email address directly through the Apple Mail app.
This guide walks you through adding your PhotoBiz Mailbox to Apple Mail using IMAP. IMAP is recommended because it keeps your email synchronized across multiple devices. By the end of this guide, your PhotoBiz Mailbox should be connected and ready to use in Apple Mail.
Before you begin, make sure you have:
Your PhotoBiz Mailbox password may be different from the password you use to log in to your PhotoBiz account. Make sure you are using the password created for the mailbox itself.
Keeping your Mac updated helps Apple Mail work properly and ensures your device has the latest security and compatibility updates.
Open the Apple Mail app on your Mac.
If this is your first time opening Apple Mail, you may be prompted to add an account automatically. If you already use Apple Mail, click Mail in the top menu, then click Add Account to begin adding your PhotoBiz Mailbox.
When Apple Mail asks you to choose a mail account provider, select Other Mail Account.
Click Continue to move to the account setup screen.
On the Add a Mail Account screen, enter your mailbox information.
Enter your name in the Name field. This is the name recipients will see when they receive emails from you.
Enter your full PhotoBiz Mailbox email address in the Email Address field.
Enter your PhotoBiz Mailbox password in the Password field.
When you are finished, click Sign In to continue.
Apple Mail may ask you to enter the mail server settings manually. Enter the server settings exactly as shown below.
For Account Type, choose IMAP.
For Incoming Mail Server, enter secure.emailsrvr.com.
For Outgoing Mail Server, enter secure.emailsrvr.com.
Click Sign In. Apple Mail will verify the settings and continue setting up your mailbox.
After Apple Mail verifies the account, make sure Mail is selected.
You may also see Notes as an option. Notes is not required for your PhotoBiz Mailbox.
Click Done to complete the setup. Your PhotoBiz Mailbox should now appear in Apple Mail, where you can send and receive email from your PhotoBiz email address.
IMAP is the recommended account type because it keeps your mailbox synced across multiple devices. If you check the same mailbox from Apple Mail, your phone, webmail, or another email program, IMAP helps keep your folders and messages consistent.
Before setting up your mailbox, make sure your Mac is updated to the latest available macOS software version. Software updates help Apple Mail work properly and can resolve security or compatibility issues that may affect email setup.
If Apple Mail cannot verify your account, check the following:
What should I do if Apple Mail says it cannot verify the account?
Double-check your email address, mailbox password, and server settings. The incoming and outgoing mail servers should both be secure.emailsrvr.com.
You should also confirm your Mac is updated to the latest available macOS software version, since outdated software can cause Apple Mail setup or connection issues.
Should I choose IMAP or POP?
Choose IMAP. IMAP is recommended because it keeps your email synchronized across devices.
Is my mailbox password the same as my PhotoBiz account password?
Not always. Your PhotoBiz Mailbox password may be different from the password you use to log in to your PhotoBiz account.
Do I need to select Notes during setup?
No. Mail is the only required option for using your PhotoBiz Mailbox in Apple Mail.
