How to Add and Customize a Sitemap in Your PhotoBiz Website Footer
Adding a Sitemap Block to your website footer helps visitors quickly navigate your website and assists search engines in understanding your site structure. Follow the steps below to create and customize your Sitemap in the PhotoBiz Website Builder.
STEP ONE
Log into your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE from the left-side menu.
STEP TWO
Scroll to the bottom of the BUILDER section and click FOOTER, located beneath your list of pages.
STEP THREE
You can only have one Sitemap Block in your footer.
If you don’t already have one, click the SITEMAP button in the right-side column to add a Sitemap Block to your footer.
If you already have a Sitemap Block, click anywhere inside it—or click the Pencil Icon in the upper-right corner and select ADVANCED to open the Sitemap settings.
Add Columns
You can organize your Sitemap using columns and items. Each link you add is considered an item, and arranging them in columns will display them side by side. You can also label each column with a header title.
Click the NEW COLUMN button.
- Enter a name in the Label section.
- Click CREATE COLUMN to add it.
Once created, your columns will appear in the Items section of your footer.
Edit Column Titles
To update a column title, click the Pencil Icon next to the column label.
Type your new Column Label, then click SAVE CHANGES.
- Enter a name in the Label section.
- Click Create Column to add it.
Once you’ve created your columns, you’ll see them listed in the Items section of your footer.
Add New Column Items
To add items (links), click the Column Name, then click the NEW ITEM button.
Label: The text your visitors will see and click on.
Link To: Choose where the item will lead when clicked.
Link options include:
- None – Item won’t link anywhere.
- External Link – Link to an outside website.
- Page – Link to a page on your PhotoBiz website or a block on a page.
- Form – Link to a form created in the Form Builder.
- Marketing – Link to a Campaign or Landing Page.
- File – Link to a PDF, JPG, PNG, or GIF file uploaded to your account.
- Phone – Allows users to tap and call you.
- Email – Opens the user’s default email app to send you a message.
- Address – Opens the location in Google Maps.
- Video – Embed a YouTube or Vimeo video that plays in a lightbox.
Click CREATE ITEM to add your item to the Sitemap.
Edit Column Items
Hover over the Column Label title and click it to access the items inside that column.
Hover over the Label/Link To you want to edit and click to make changes.
You can update the Label and Link To fields using the same options listed above.
Click SAVE CHANGES when finished.
Rearrange Column Items
You can drag and drop column items up or down within a column. A teal line will appear where the item will move—release your mouse to drop it into its new position.
Move Column Items Between Columns
Inside each column item, you’ll see a Location drop-down menu.
Select a different column title from the list, then click SAVE CHANGES to move the item to a new column in your footer Sitemap.
ADVANCED FOOTER SITEMAP SETTINGS
STYLING
Customize the appearance of your Sitemap Block:
- Title Alignment – Align your column titles (Left, Center, Right)
- Description Alignment – Align item labels/links
- Space Below Blocks – Adjust spacing before the next block
- Space Inside Blocks – Adjust padding within the block
Click SAVE CHANGES to apply your updates.
COLORS
You can set custom colors for:
- Title Color
- Text Color
- Background Color
Click the color square or enter a HEX code. A customized flag will appear next to any overridden setting.
Click Save Changes to apply your color selections.
BACKGROUND
Want to add a background image to your Sitemap? You can upload your own or choose one from the Background Library.
Background display options include:
- Tile – Repeats the image to fill the space.
- Top Left – Aligns the image to the top left.
- Centered – Centers the image in the space.
- Cover – Scales the image to fully cover the background.
Click Save Changes to apply your background settings.
FONTS
You can customize the following font style options for your Footer Sitemap:
- Font Style – Choose from your available fonts
- Font Size – Adjust how large or small the text appears
- Letter Spacing (Kerning) – Control the spacing between each letter
- Line Height – Adjust the vertical space between lines of text
These options can be customized for both Title and Text elements.
Click the text type you want to adjust, then update your font settings as desired.
