How to Add an MP3 Audio Player to an Individual PhotoBiz Blog Post

Overview

You can add an MP3 audio player to an individual PhotoBiz blog post so visitors can listen to audio directly within the post. This is useful for interviews, podcast clips, voice recordings, music samples, and other audio content you want to share with your readers.

This method adds the audio player to an individual blog post. It does not add an audio player to your main Blog page.

This guide walks you through uploading an MP3 file, copying its file URL, adding the URL to the audio player code, and placing the player inside a Text Editor Block. You can use these steps when creating a new blog post or editing an existing published post.

STEP ONE

Log into your PhotoBiz account and click FILES in the left-side menu.

This opens the Files area, where you can manage images, documents, audio files, and other files stored in your account.

STEP TWO

Click DOCUMENTS at the top of the Files area.

This opens the section where you can upload and manage files such as MP3 audio files and documents.

STEP THREE

Click UPLOAD and select the MP3 file from your computer.

Allow the file to finish uploading before continuing. Once the upload is complete, the MP3 will appear with your other files in the Documents section.

STEP FOUR

Click the MP3 file you uploaded to open its file details.

Locate the file URL, highlight the complete URL, and copy it. You will use this URL to connect the audio player to your MP3 file.

STEP FIVE

Replace YOUR-MP3-FILE-URL in the code below with the MP3 file URL you copied in the previous step.

Replace only the placeholder text. Leave the quotation marks and the rest of the code unchanged.

After you add your MP3 file URL, copy the completed code. You will paste the completed code into your blog post.

STEP FIVE

Click BLOG in the left-side menu.

Create a new blog post or open the individual blog post where you want the MP3 audio player to appear. If you have many published posts, use the search bar to locate the post you want to edit.

This process adds the audio player to the individual blog post you open. It does not add the player to your main Blog page.

STEP SIX

Add a Text Editor Block to the blog post, or open an existing Text Editor Block where you want the audio player to appear.

Click the HTML option in the Text Editor Block and paste the completed audio player code where you want the player to display.

STEP SEVEN

If you haven't already published the blog post, be sure to click PUBLISH on the top right corner of the blog editor. If this is a post that's already been published, the content will update automatically. 

FINAL STEP

Open the individual blog post and test the audio player. You should see the browser's audio controls and be able to play the MP3 directly within the post.

Your changes are applied when you click SAVE CHANGES. There is no separate publish button.

Helpful Notes

  • The appearance of the audio player is controlled by the visitor's browser and device, so the controls may look slightly different in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or on a mobile device.
  • The MP3 remains hosted in your PhotoBiz Files. Do not delete the MP3 after adding it to your blog post. If the file is deleted, the audio player will no longer be able to load it.
  • If you want to add multiple MP3 files to the same blog post, repeat the process and add a separate audio player for each file.
  • The audio player does not automatically begin playing when someone opens the blog post.
  • Using a simple filename, such as studio-interview.mp3, can make your uploaded files easier to identify and manage.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

The Audio Player Does Not Appear

Open the Text Editor Block and confirm that you added the audio player code through the HTML option.

Make sure the complete code is still present, including the opening and closing tags.

The Audio Player Appears but the MP3 Does Not Play

Check the URL inside the src portion of the code. Make sure you copied the complete MP3 file URL and did not remove the quotation marks around it.

You can also open the MP3 file URL directly in your browser to confirm that the file is available.

The MP3 Will Not Upload

Check the size of the MP3 file.

  • Website Packages allow files up to 4 MB.

  • The Original Files upgrade allows files up to 50 MB.

The Audio Player Stopped Working

Confirm that the MP3 file is still stored in FILES > DOCUMENTS.

If the file was deleted, the existing audio player can no longer access it. Upload the MP3 again, copy the new file URL, and update the audio player code in the blog post.
