What Is the Original Files Upgrade?

Overview

The standard PhotoBiz Website Package allows you to upload image, document, and video files up to 4MB each. The Original Files Upgrade increases the maximum upload size to 50MB per file.

You can use this upgrade to upload full-resolution images for digital delivery through Client Galleries or add larger video files to your website. This guide explains what the Original Files Upgrade includes, how to add it to your account, and what to know about files uploaded before activating the upgrade.

When to Use the Original Files Upgrade

The Original Files Upgrade may be helpful when you need to:

Sell or deliver full-resolution digital images through Client Galleries
Upload original-resolution images larger than 4MB
Upload video files larger than 4MB to your website
Store larger files in your PhotoBiz account for client access or delivery

Each uploaded file can be up to 50MB after the upgrade is active.

STEP ONE

This opens the area where you can review the additional products and services available for your account.

STEP TWO

Locate the PRODUCTS & ADD-ONS section and click ORIGINAL FILES.

You may need to scroll down depending on the products and upgrades currently active on your account.

FINAL STEP

Click BUY NOW, then select the monthly or annual subscription option you prefer. Follow the prompts to complete your purchase.

After the purchase is complete, the Original Files Upgrade will be added to your account. You can then upload supported image, document, and video files up to 50MB each.

Files Uploaded Before Adding the Upgrade

The Original Files Upgrade does not automatically replace files already uploaded to your account or increase their resolution.

If you uploaded an image before activating the upgrade, you must upload the original file again for the full-resolution version to be available for download. Previously uploaded files are not automatically replaced when you add the upgrade.

Using Original Files With Client Galleries

You can use the Original Files Upgrade to upload and deliver full-resolution digital images through Client Galleries.

After uploading the original-resolution files, configure the download or purchasing options for your gallery based on how you want clients to receive them. The upgrade increases the maximum file size, but your Client Galleries settings still control whether clients can download or purchase each image.

Using the Upgrade for Video Files

The Original Files Upgrade also increases the maximum upload size for supported video files from 4MB to 50MB each.

You can use these larger video files in supported areas of your PhotoBiz website. The upgrade changes the maximum file size but does not change which video formats or website features are supported.

Helpful Notes

The standard Website Package supports files up to 4MB each.
The Original Files Upgrade supports files up to 50MB each.
The increased limit applies to image, document, and video uploads.
Files uploaded before activating the upgrade must be uploaded again if you need the original-resolution version.
Adding the upgrade does not increase the resolution of an existing file.
