Overview
Transferring ownership of a PhotoBiz account means updating the account login, billing information, and payment method so the new owner can manage and pay for the account going forward.
This guide walks you through the main account updates needed when ownership changes from one party to another. By the end, the new owner will have access to the account, their billing information will be saved, and their payment card will be on file for future membership charges.
Before you begin, make sure the current owner and new owner have agreed to the account transfer.
You will need access to the current PhotoBiz account login in order to complete these changes. If the current owner cannot log in or cannot provide access, contact PhotoBiz Support for help.
Log into the PhotoBiz account and click MY ACCOUNT in the left-side menu.
This opens the account management area where you can update login, billing, and payment details for the account.
Update the login email address for the account.
The login email controls who can access the PhotoBiz control panel. When transferring ownership, this should be changed to an email address controlled by the new owner.
At the top of the My Account dashboard, hover over ACCOUNT DETAILS and select the option for updating the account email address. Enter the new login email address and save your changes.
Once updated, the new owner should use the new email address when logging into the PhotoBiz account.

Update the billing information on the account.
The billing information should match the new owner or the business now responsible for the PhotoBiz membership. This information is used for account records and membership billing.
At the top of the My Account dashboard, hover over ACCOUNT DETAILS and click BILLING INFO from the dropdown menu. Update the billing fields as needed, including the name, company, phone number, address, city, ZIP code, country, state or province, website, and industry.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click SAVE CHANGES.

Update the payment method on file.
PhotoBiz stores one payment card on the account at a time. When ownership changes, the new owner should replace the previous card with their own credit or debit card so future membership charges are billed correctly.
At the top of the My Account dashboard, hover over ACCOUNT DETAILS and click PAYMENT METHOD from the dropdown menu. Enter the new card details, including the name on the card, card number, expiration month, and expiration year.
Click UPDATE INFORMATION to save the new payment method.
The new card will immediately replace the previous card on file and will be used for automatic membership charges going forward.

Ownership Transfer Checklist
Before considering the transfer complete, confirm the following items have been updated:
The login email belongs to the new owner
The billing information matches the new owner or business
The payment method has been replaced with the new owner’s card
The new owner can successfully log into the account
The previous owner no longer has access to the login email or saved payment method
Billing Information vs. Payment Method
Billing information and payment method are separate account settings.
Billing information includes the name, address, and contact details associated with the account billing records. The payment method is the credit or debit card used for membership charges.
Updating billing information does not update the card on file. Both sections should be reviewed when transferring ownership.
Public Business Information
Changing the billing information does not automatically update the business information shown on your website, forms, invoices, or Client Galleries.
If the new owner also needs to update public-facing business details, review the account branding and website content separately.
Account Access and Security
After the login email is changed, the new owner should review any account security settings, including password and two-factor authentication options, if available.
This helps ensure the account is secured under the new owner’s information.
Can PhotoBiz transfer ownership for me?

Does changing the login email update the billing information?
No. The login email, billing information, and payment method are separate account settings. Each one should be updated during an ownership transfer.
Does updating the billing information remove the old payment card?

When does the new payment method take effect?
The new payment method takes effect immediately after you save it. Future automatic membership charges will use the new card on file.
