How to Point Your Domain Registered with Wix to PhotoBiz Using A Records
If you’ve registered your domain name with Wix, you can still use it with your PhotoBiz website! While we normally recommend pointing your domain to PhotoBiz by updating your name servers, Wix does not allow this option. Instead, you’ll connect your domain using A records.
This guide will walk you through the steps to set up your Wix domain with PhotoBiz.
Important Things to Know Before You Start

Using A records can sometimes affect features like Pay-Per-Click (PPC) tracking or how search engines crawl your site, depending on Wix’s DNS settings.

You’ll need to be able to log in to your Wix account where your domain is registered.

You’ll still need to renew your domain with Wix unless you transfer it to PhotoBiz or another registrar.

If you’d like PhotoBiz to manage your domain registration for you, you can transfer your domain directly into your PhotoBiz account.

STEP ONE
Submit a Domain Setup Request
Log in to your PhotoBiz account.
From your control panel, submit a Domain Setup Request with the domain name you’d like to connect.
Our team will update your PhotoBiz account to use your custom domain and send you a confirmation email once it’s ready.
STEP TWO
Log into Your Wix Account and Update the DNS Records
In your Wix domain settings, update the following records:

Notes:

“@” refers to your root domain (example: yourdomain.com).

“*” is a wildcard record that applies to any undefined subdomains.

TTL (Time To Live) should be set to the lowest value available (e.g., 300 seconds or 5 minutes).
STEP THREE
Wait for Internet Propagation
After saving your changes, it can take 24–48 hours for your domain to fully update. During this time:

Your domain will begin pointing to your PhotoBiz website.

An SSL certificate will be automatically applied for security.

Access to your Website Builder will be restored once propagation is complete.
