How to Bulk Download Images in PhotoBiz Client Galleries

Bulk downloads allow you or your clients to download multiple images from a PhotoBiz Client Gallery at one time. Instead of downloading images individually, PhotoBiz creates a single .zip file that contains all selected images. This is especially helpful when downloading an entire gallery or a large group of favorite images.

Bulk downloads work best on a desktop or laptop computer, as .zip files may need to be extracted before viewing.

This guide explains how bulk downloads work, how to start a bulk download, and what clients can expect when receiving their files.

Prerequisites

Before using bulk downloads, make sure:

If you or your clients need help opening .zip files, use these support articles from common devices:

STEP ONE

Open the Client Gallery where you want to download images.

Free downloads must be turned on for the event in order for bulk downloads to be available. Decide whether you want to download the entire gallery or only selected favorite images.

STEP TWO

If you are downloading favorites, mark the images you want to include.

In grid view, click the heart icon in the bottom-left corner of each image.

In large image view, click the heart icon on the menu at the bottom of the image. 

If you plan to download the entire gallery, continue to the next step.

STEP THREE

Click the download button to begin your bulk download.

  • In grid view, the download icon appears in the top-right corner.

  • In large image view, click the menu icon in the top-right corner, then select the download icon at the top of the side panel.

You will be prompted to enter an email address for download tracking.

Click or tap on the menu button on the top right corner.

Click or tap on the download icon in the menu.

STEP FOUR

Choose what to download and start your bulk zip file.

After entering your email, a side panel will appear. Select whether you want to download:

  • The full gallery

  • Your favorites

  • Or both options

Then click Start Download.

WHAT CUSTOMERS WILL SEE

A confirmation screen will appear while the .zip file is being created. Once the file is ready, it will be available to download directly from the page.

An automatic email will also be sent to the entered email address with a download link. This email includes the photographer’s branding and allows clients to download their images if they close the page before the file finishes generating.

This screen will appear while the selected files are being put into a zip folder for the bulk download.

Your Images Are Ready

The zip file will be available to download once the images have been put into the zip file. There's also a confirmation email sent to clients automatically with this link in case they close the screen before it's completed.

Your clients will also automatically recieve an email with your global branding information with a link to download their images as well.

Helpful Notes

  • Bulk downloads are delivered as a single .zip file. Some mobile devices require an app or built-in system tool to extract .zip files.

  • Because .zip files can be large, a stable internet connection is recommended.

Download Link Expiration

Bulk download links expire after 7 days. Once a link expires, the .zip file can no longer be accessed. Clients should download their files as soon as possible.
