Overview
PhotoBiz Client Galleries let you deliver images to clients through private, password-protected galleries. After you upload images to an event, clients can view their gallery, mark favorites, leave comments, download images, or purchase products when those options are enabled.
Client Gallery events do not have a specific image-count limit. The number of images you can upload depends on the available file storage in your PhotoBiz account.
This guide walks you through uploading images to a Client Gallery event, uploading directly to sub-galleries, understanding account storage and file size limits, and troubleshooting common upload issues.
There is no specific limit to the number of images you can upload to an individual Client Gallery event. You can continue adding images as long as your PhotoBiz account has available file storage.
Each image you upload counts as one file toward your account's file limit. This is the same whether you use the standard Website Package or the Original Files upgrade.
Keep these limits separate:
The 4 MB and 50 MB limits apply only to the size of each individual file you upload. They do not change how many files an image counts as toward your account storage.
If you are approaching your account's file limit, you can remove files you no longer need or add more storage to your account. See How to Add Additional File Storage for instructions.
The standard PhotoBiz Website Package allows you to upload individual files up to 4 MB.
With the Original Files upgrade, you can upload individual files up to 50 MB. Original Files can be used when you want clients to download larger, full-resolution versions of their images.
Images uploaded before Original Files is added to your account do not automatically gain an original-resolution version. You must re-upload those images after the upgrade is active if you want the original file to be available for download.
Images that have an Original Resolution file available display an OR indicator on the image thumbnail in your Client Galleries control panel.
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click CLIENT GALLERIES in the left-side menu.
This opens the Client Galleries Dashboard, where you can create and manage events, upload images, and control your Client Galleries settings.
Click EVENTS at the top of the Client Galleries Dashboard.
This opens your list of Client Gallery events. From here, you can create a new event or open an existing event where you want to upload images.
Create a new event or open the event where you want to upload your images.
To create an event, click NEW EVENT and complete the event setup. If the event already exists, locate it in your event list and click the event name to open it.
Make sure you open the correct event before uploading your images, especially if you manage galleries for multiple clients.
Click UPLOAD at the top of the event.
The image uploader will open for the Client Gallery event you selected.
Click ADD FILES to browse your computer and select the images you want to upload. You can also drag and drop image files directly from your computer into the uploader.
The upload will begin after you add your files. Keep the uploader open until all images finish uploading. Do not refresh the page, close the uploader, or navigate away from the event while an upload is in progress.
After the upload finishes, your images will appear inside the Client Gallery event.
Your images are now stored in the event and ready to organize. You can rearrange the image order, create sub-galleries, adjust your event settings, and share the gallery with your client when you are ready.
Sub-galleries let you divide images within the same Client Gallery event into separate sections. You might use sub-galleries to organize images by:
You can upload images directly into a sub-gallery by opening the sub-gallery before starting the upload.
If images are already uploaded to the event, you can also drag and drop them between galleries and sub-galleries to reorganize the event.
For instructions on creating additional galleries within an event, see How To Add Additional Galleries to My Event.
After your images are uploaded, you can arrange them in the order you want clients to see them.
For instructions, see How to Re-sort Images in Client Galleries.
You can also configure other event options, including:
Because Client Gallery events do not have their own image-count limit, your available PhotoBiz account file storage determines how many images you can continue uploading.
Each uploaded image counts as one file, regardless of the image's file size or whether Original Files is enabled.
If you need more available storage, you have two options:
See How to Add Additional File Storage if you want to increase the number of files your account can store.
If you need to remove Client Galleries content, see:
If you want clients to download Original Resolution files, Original Files must be active when you upload the images.
Images uploaded before the upgrade was added will not automatically gain an Original Resolution version. You must re-upload those images after Original Files is active.
You can confirm that an image has an Original Resolution file available by looking for the OR indicator on the image thumbnail in your Client Galleries control panel.
First, confirm that each image meets the individual file size requirement. The standard Website Package supports individual files up to 4 MB. Files larger than 4 MB require Original Files, which supports individual files up to 50 MB.
If your files meet the size requirements but you cannot add more images, check whether your PhotoBiz account has available file storage. If you have reached your file limit, you can remove files you no longer need or add additional file storage.
Also keep the uploader open until all files finish uploading.
For additional troubleshooting, see Troubleshooting Uploading Problems.
Your browser may be loading outdated stored files that interfere with the uploader.
Clear your browser cookies and cache, restart your browser, log back into your PhotoBiz account, and try uploading again.
If the issue continues, try uploading a smaller group of images to determine whether a particular file is causing the error.
Large batches of images or larger individual files may take longer to transfer, especially when your internet upload speed is limited.
Keep the uploader open until the upload completes. If a large batch appears to stall, try uploading fewer images at a time.
Confirm that Original Files is active and that the affected images were uploaded after the upgrade was added.
Images uploaded before Original Files was enabled must be re-uploaded for the Original Resolution file to be available.
Look for the OR indicator on the image thumbnail to confirm that the original file is available.
If the images are already inside the correct Client Gallery event, drag and drop them into the correct gallery.
Images cannot be moved between separate Client Gallery events using the gallery organization tools.
Upload the images to the correct event, then delete them from the incorrect event if you no longer need them there.
