Overview
A 301 redirect automatically sends visitors from an old page URL to a new destination on your website. This is especially useful when you rename a page, remove content, or reorganize your site structure.
Using redirects helps prevent broken links and ensures visitors always land on the correct page. It also helps search engines understand that your content has permanently moved.
This guide walks you through how to create and manage 301 redirects inside the PhotoBiz Website Builder.
You may want to create a redirect if you:
Redirects help ensure your visitors never encounter a broken link.
Log into your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE in the left-hand menu.
This will open the Website Builder control panel.
Open Website Settings
At the top center of the Website Builder control panel, click SETTINGS.
This area contains advanced configuration options for your website.
Click the NEW REDIRECT button to create your 301 redirect.
Create a Redirect
The right side panel for NEW RIDIRECT will open, enter the details for the redirect you want to create.
In the Original URL field, enter the old URL that visitors may still be using.
Next, choose the destination in the Redirect To dropdown menu.
You can redirect visitors to several types of destinations within PhotoBiz.
Available redirect destinations include:
None – No redirection will occur
External Link – Redirect to a page outside your PhotoBiz website
Page – Redirect to another page on your PhotoBiz website
Form – Redirect to a form created in your PhotoBiz account
Email Marketing – Redirect to an email marketing campaign
File – Redirect to a document stored in the Documents section of your account
After selecting the destination, click Save to create the redirect.
After saving, your redirect will appear in the Redirects list.
This list shows all redirects currently active on your website. From here you can review, edit, or remove redirects as needed.
Once the redirect is saved, visitors who access the old URL will automatically be sent to the new destination.
Keep the following in mind when creating redirects:
The original page should be deleted or disabled if you want the redirect to take effect.
Redirects work best when the old page is no longer active.
Use redirects when changing URLs that may already exist in marketing materials, QR codes, or search engine listings.
