How to Submit Your PhotoBiz Blog RSS Feed to Google Search Console
Submitting your PhotoBiz Blog's RSS feed to Google Search Console is a great way to ensure that Google knows about your latest blog posts and content updates. The PhotoBiz Blog automatically generates an RSS feed for you as you publish new content. By submitting this RSS feed as a sitemap, you'll also be able to monitor when Google last crawled your blog.
STEP ONE
Verify Your Domain with Google Search Console
-
Open a new tab or browser window and go to Google Search Console.
-
If you haven't already verified your website with Google, log in and create a URL prefix property for your domain.
-
Follow the steps to verify your website (usually by adding a small HTML tag to your site or uploading a verification file to your server).
-
STEP TWO
Submit Your Sitemap to Google
- Once your domain is verified, click on Sitemaps in the left-hand menu of your Google Search Console account.
- In the Add a new sitemap section, type in your blog RSS feed URL. This URL typically looks something like this:
- Click Submit.
STEP THREE
Confirmation
- After submitting, you'll see a confirmation screen letting you know that your Blog RSS feed has been successfully submitted.
- You'll also be able to see details about when Google last crawled your blog and which pages it has discovered.
Why is this important?
Once your RSS feed is set up as a sitemap, Google will regularly check for updates and new content. The frequency of this crawling is determined by Google, but this setup ensures that your blog content gets noticed faster.
