How to Add an Anchor Link to Your Website in PhotoBiz

Overview

Anchor links allow you to send visitors directly to a specific section of a page instead of the top. This is useful for guiding users to important content like pricing, contact forms, or service details. In PhotoBiz, you can create anchor links by linking directly to individual blocks within your pages. This guide will walk you through how to set up and use anchor links on your website.

By the end of this guide, you will be able to create links that take visitors exactly where you want them to go on your page.

STEP ONE

Log into your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE from the left-side menu.

STEP TWO

In the Website Builder, open the page that contains the block you want to link to.

STEP THREE

Click the pencil icon in the top-right corner of the block you want to link to. In the right-side panel, update the block name so it is clear and easy to recognize, such as “Pricing Section” or “Contact Form.” This name will appear when selecting the block for your anchor link.

STEP FOUR

Navigate to the page where you want to add the anchor link. This could be a Button Block, List Block, Text Editor Block, Text + Image Block, or any area that supports adding links.

STEP FIVE

Add or edit your link. When selecting the link type, choose Page, then select the specific Block you want to link to. This ensures the link directs visitors to the exact section of the page instead of the top.

FINAL STEP

Click Save to apply your changes. When a visitor clicks the link, they will be taken directly to the selected section of the page.

Additional Options or Helpful Notes

  • Anchor links are ideal for long pages where you want to improve navigation.
  • Common uses include linking to:
    • Pricing sections
    • Contact forms
    • Service descriptions
    • FAQs
  • Clear block names make it easier to identify the correct section when creating links.
  • You can create multiple anchor links on a single page to guide users through your content.

Troubleshooting or FAQs

Make sure you selected the correct block when creating the link and that the block name matches what you intended.

The page scrolls but not to the exact spot
Check that the correct block was selected and that it has a unique, clearly named identifier.
