Overview
You can resend a receipt from your PhotoBiz account when a client needs another copy or can no longer access the original receipt link. This applies to orders created through ECommerce, Client Galleries, Scheduler, Forms, and Invoices.
The receipt email includes a secure link that allows the client to view the completed transaction online. All receipt emails include a notice explaining that the View Receipt link will expire in 7 days.
This guide explains how to locate an order, resend its receipt, update the recipient information, and provide a new active receipt link when the previous link has expired.
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click ECOMMERCE in the left-side menu.
This opens the ECommerce Dashboard, where you can manage orders, products, invoices, payment settings, and other ECommerce tools.
Hover over TRACKING at the top of the ECommerce Dashboard, then click ORDERS in the dropdown menu.
The Orders page displays transactions created through ECommerce, Client Galleries, Scheduler, Forms, and Invoices.
Locate the order with the receipt you want to resend.
You can browse the order list or use the available search and filter options to find the transaction. Click the Order Number to open the complete order details.
Click Resend on the order details page.
Resending the receipt does not create another order or charge the client again. It prepares a new receipt email for the original completed transaction.
A panel will open on the right side of the screen. Review the recipient email address, subject line, and message.
You can update the email address or personalize the subject and message before sending the receipt. Click Send when you are ready.
Your client will receive a new receipt email with an active View Receipt link. The link will remain available for 7 days from the time the new email is sent.
The receipt will continue to display the original order information, purchased items, totals, and payment summary. These transaction details cannot be changed from the resend panel.
Your client will receive an email notification containing a View Receipt button. Every receipt email also includes a notice explaining that the link will expire in 7 days.
When the client clicks View Receipt, the receipt opens in their browser. Depending on the order, it may include:
The online receipt is view-only. The client cannot edit the order or transaction information.
The View Receipt link remains active for 7 days from the time the receipt email is sent.
Online receipts may contain personal, order, and payment information. Because the receipt link can be opened without signing in, the expiration helps limit how long that information is accessible through the client-facing link.
The order does not expire or disappear from your account. You can continue to view the complete order details from the ECommerce Dashboard.
When a client needs access after the link expires, resend the receipt to generate a new link that will remain active for another 7 days.
The Client Says the Receipt Link Has Expired
Receipt links remain active for 7 days from the time the receipt email is sent. Open the order in the ECommerce Dashboard and resend the receipt to provide the client with a new active link.
The Client Needs the Receipt Sent to a Different Email Address
Open the order details and click Resend. When the panel opens, update the recipient email address before clicking Send.
The Client Did Not Receive the Receipt Email
Confirm that the email address entered in the resend panel is correct. Ask the client to check their spam, junk, promotions, or other filtered folders.
You can resend the receipt again after verifying the address.
The Client Wants the Receipt Information Changed
A resent receipt must reflect the original completed transaction. You cannot change the purchased items, totals, payment details, or other finalized order information through the resend panel.
