How to Resend a Receipt to a Client in PhotoBiz

Overview

If a client needs another copy of their receipt, you can resend it directly from your PhotoBiz account. This applies to purchases made through ECommerce, Client Galleries, Scheduler, Forms, or Invoices.

This guide walks you through how to locate an order, resend the receipt email, and understand what your client will receive. You will also learn why receipt links expire after 7 days and how to resend a new active link when needed.

By the end of this guide, you will be able to resend receipts confidently while understanding how PhotoBiz protects client receipt information.

STEP ONE

Log into your PhotoBiz account and click ECOMMERCE in the left-side menu of your control panel.

This opens your ECommerce dashboard, where you can manage orders, products, invoices, payment settings, and related ECommerce tools.

STEP TWO

At the top of the ECommerce control panel, hover over TRACKING, then click ORDERS from the dropdown menu.

This opens your full list of orders.

STEP THREE

Locate the order you want to resend the receipt for.

You can scroll through your orders or use the available search and filter options to find the order more quickly. Once you find the correct order, click the Order Number to open the order details.

STEP FOUR

Inside the order details page, click the Resend button.

This prepares the original receipt to be sent again. Resending a receipt does not create a new order or charge the client again.

FINAL STEP

A panel will open on the right side of your screen.

You can update the client’s email address, edit the subject line, or personalize the message before sending. When you are ready, click Send to resend the receipt.

Your client will receive a receipt email for the original completed transaction. The receipt details, order information, products, totals, and payment summary cannot be changed from this resend panel.

What Your Client Will See

After you resend the receipt, your client will receive an email notification with a button to view their receipt online.

Order Receipt Notification Email Example

The notification email includes a button that allows your client to securely view their receipt online.

When they click the button, they will see a detailed receipt that reflects the original completed transaction. This receipt may include client and order information such as the client’s name, address, order details, purchased items, and payment summary.

The online receipt is view-only. It cannot be edited by the client.

Receipt Details Example

When your client clicks the button, they will see a detailed receipt. The receipt reflects the original completed transaction and cannot be modified.

Receipt Link Expiration

The receipt link included in the email remains active for 7 days from the time it is sent.

Receipt links expire for privacy and data protection. The online receipt may include personal information such as the client’s name, address, order details, purchased items, and payment summary. Because the receipt link does not require a login to view, PhotoBiz limits how long the client-facing link remains active.

As the PhotoBiz account owner, you still have access to the order information inside your ECommerce dashboard. The 7-day expiration only applies to the receipt link sent to your client.

If your client needs access after the link expires, you can resend the receipt from your PhotoBiz account. This creates a new receipt link that remains active for another 7 days.

Helpful Notes

  • Resending a receipt does not create a new charge.
  • Resending a receipt does not create a new order.
  • You can update the recipient email address before sending.
  • You can edit the subject line and message before sending.
  • You cannot edit the original order details, products, totals, or transaction information.
  • The receipt always reflects the finalized transaction at the time of purchase.
  • The receipt link remains active for 7 days each time it is sent.
  • PhotoBiz account owners can view order details anytime from the ECommerce dashboard inside their account.
  • If a client needs access after the link expires, you can resend the receipt to create a new active link.

Troubleshooting

The client says the receipt link expired

Ask the client to confirm when they opened the receipt email. Receipt links remain active for 7 days from the time the receipt is sent.

If the link has expired, open the order in your PhotoBiz ECommerce dashboard and resend the receipt. This will generate a new active receipt link for another 7 days.

The client needs the receipt sent to a different email address

Open the order details and click Resend. When the resend panel opens, update the email address before clicking Send.
