Overview
Connecting Stripe allows you to securely accept credit and debit card payments through your PhotoBiz account. Once Stripe is connected and active, you can collect payments through Client Galleries, Scheduler bookings, invoices, forms, and your Online Store.
This guide walks you through connecting a new or existing Stripe account from the PhotoBiz ECommerce Dashboard. You will also learn how to activate and configure your Stripe merchant, what your customers will see during checkout, how refunds work, and where to find your PCI compliance report.
Your PhotoBiz account must be connected to a supported payment processor before you can accept online card payments.
PhotoBiz integrates with Stripe to:
Stripe manages payment processing, account verification, bank account information, processing fees, and payouts.
After Stripe is connected and active, customers can submit eligible payments through:
Your active Stripe payment method will automatically become available across these supported areas when a customer reaches checkout.
Connecting Stripe gives PhotoBiz the limited permissions required to process transactions submitted through your PhotoBiz account.
PhotoBiz can:

Your Stripe account remains under your control. You can review connected platforms and manage account access directly from your Stripe account.
Stripe uses standardized authorization language when connecting accounts to third-party platforms. This language describes the permissions required for the payment connection and is not specific to PhotoBiz.
For more information, review Stripe’s article about security permissions and access levels when connecting a Stripe account to a third-party platform.
PhotoBiz provides the connection between your PhotoBiz account and Stripe, but PhotoBiz does not manage your Stripe account.

You can contact Stripe Support after signing in to your Stripe account.
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click ECOMMERCE in the left-side menu.
This opens the ECommerce Dashboard, where you can manage orders, products, payments, merchants, and other ECommerce settings.
Hover over PAYMENT at the top of the ECommerce Dashboard and select MERCHANTS from the dropdown menu.
The Merchants section displays the payment processors currently connected to your PhotoBiz account.
Click the New Merchant button.
Stripe will appear as the available merchant option. Click Connect to Stripe to begin the secure connection process.
A Stripe window will open so you can sign in to an existing Stripe account or create a new one.
Sign in to your existing Stripe account, or follow Stripe’s prompts to create a new account.
Review the account information and permissions shown by Stripe. Follow the remaining prompts and click Authorize access to this account when prompted.
Stripe may ask you to provide or confirm business, identity, bank account, tax, or contact information before your account can be fully activated.
After authorization is complete, you will see a Connection Successful message confirming that your Stripe account is ready to connect with PhotoBiz. Click OK to return to your PhotoBiz control panel.
Return to your PhotoBiz account and click CONFIGURE NEW STRIPE ACCOUNT.
The Stripe merchant settings will display information about the connection, including the merchant type, the date it was created, and the email address associated with the connected Stripe account.
Set Active to Yes. This setting must be enabled before Stripe will appear as a payment method during checkout.
Review and customize the remaining settings:
Payment Name: Enter the name customers will see as an available payment method during checkout. Credit Card is the default payment name.
Special Instructions: Add an optional message that will appear during checkout when the customer selects this payment method.
Thank You Message: Enter the message customers will see on the confirmation page after their payment is successfully processed through Stripe.
Click Save Changes to apply your Stripe merchant settings to your checkout screens.
Once Active is set to Yes and your changes are saved, customers can use Stripe to submit eligible credit or debit card payments through your PhotoBiz account.
If Stripe requires additional account verification, complete the requested steps directly inside your Stripe dashboard before attempting to process payments or receive payouts.
The checkout screen a customer sees depends on where they are submitting payment. The examples below show the three Stripe checkout experiences available through PhotoBiz.
Refunds must be processed directly through your Stripe account. You cannot issue a Stripe refund from the PhotoBiz dashboard.
To issue a refund, sign in to Stripe, locate the original payment, and follow Stripe’s refund process. Stripe determines how quickly the funds are returned to the customer’s original payment method.
PhotoBiz provides a PCI compliance report for your account.
If a merchant provider, payment gateway, bank, organization, or institution requires proof of PCI compliance, open your Stripe merchant settings and click the PCI compliance report link. You can download or print the report as needed.
The report confirms the PCI compliance status of the PhotoBiz platform. Questions about your individual Stripe account or Stripe’s compliance requirements should be directed to Stripe.
Stripe Does Not Display as Active
Confirm that you completed the entire Stripe authorization process. Signing in to Stripe without completing the final authorization step will not finish the connection.
Return to the MERCHANTS section and try connecting Stripe again. Make sure you click Authorize access to this account when prompted.
You should also check your Stripe dashboard for incomplete verification requirements or account alerts.
Stripe Is Connected but Does Not Appear at Checkout
Open your Stripe merchant settings and confirm that Active is set to Yes.
Click Save Changes after updating the setting. Stripe will not appear as an available checkout option while the merchant is inactive.
Stripe Is Active but Payments Are Not Processing
Sign in to Stripe and check for account restrictions, verification requests, payout issues, or required business information.
Confirm that your Stripe account is enabled to accept payments and that the customer’s payment method is supported.
A payment may also be declined by the customer’s card issuer. Stripe will display any available decline information within the transaction record.
Funds Are Not Reaching Your Bank Account
Confirm that your bank account is connected and verified inside Stripe.
Stripe controls payout schedules, payout eligibility, processing periods, and account holds. Contact Stripe Support if payments appear in Stripe but are not being deposited as expected.
The Stripe Window Does Not Open
Check whether your browser is blocking pop-up windows. Allow pop-ups for PhotoBiz and click Connect to Stripe again.
You can also try using a current version of another supported browser.
