How to Display More Images on a Page in PhotoBiz

Overview

You can display more images on a PhotoBiz website page by adjusting the layout of an Images Block, using a Load More link, or adding multiple Images Blocks to the page. The best option depends on how many images you want to feature and how you want visitors to browse them.

This guide explains the desktop and mobile display settings, Last Item Link options, and the 50-image display limit for each Images Block.

Increase the Number of Rows and Columns

Many Images Block layouts use rows and columns to control how many images appear when the page first loads.

Open the website page that contains your Images Block, then click the block to access its settings. Choose a layout that uses rows and columns and increase either setting to display more images.

For example, a layout with three columns and two rows includes six display positions. Increasing the number of rows or columns allows more images to appear at one time.

The available settings depend on the layout you select. Slideshow and Carousel layouts do not use standard rows and columns because they display images individually or within a scrolling format.

After adjusting the layout, click Save. The Save button automatically applies your updates to the website.

Choose a Mobile View

Mobile View settings are available under the Styling tab in the Images Block settings.

You can choose between:

One column: Displays each image at a larger size.
Two columns: Displays more images within the visible area of the page.

An Images Block can display up to 10 images at one time on mobile devices. Choose one column when you want each image to receive more visual emphasis. Choose two columns when you want visitors to see more images as they scroll.

The Last Item Link and Link Style settings determine whether a link appears below the displayed images or uses the final position within the image grid.

Choose a Last Item Link

The Display Last Item Link setting controls what visitors see after the images displayed by the selected layout.

The available options are:

None: No link appears. The block displays images based on the selected layout and its available display positions.
Yes, as a “load more link”: Visitors can load additional images within the same Images Block without leaving the page.
Yes, as a “standard link”: Visitors are directed to another page or destination.

The Load More link performs the same function on desktop and mobile devices. Visitors can select it to display additional images from the block directly on the page.

Use a standard link when you want to direct visitors to another portfolio page, Client Gallery, website page, or external destination.

When you select a Load More or standard link, you can customize the link text. Supported layouts also include Link Style options.

Customize the Link Style

The following Images Block layouts include Link Style options:

Square
Portrait
Landscape
Editorial Circle

Editorial Portrait

Collage 6
Modern Square

The available Link Style options are:

Button: Displays the link as a button below the images.
Text Only: Displays the link as text below the images.
Last Grid Item: Displays the link within the final position of the image grid.

When you select Button or Text Only, the link appears below the images and does not replace an image position.

For example, a mobile layout can display up to 10 images followed by the Button or Text Only link.

When you select Last Grid Item, the link uses the final position that would otherwise display an image.

On desktop devices, the selected rows and columns determine the number of available grid positions. For example, a layout with three columns and two rows includes six positions. When you select Last Grid Item, five images display and the link occupies the sixth position.

On mobile devices, nine images display and the Last Grid Item link occupies the tenth position.

The Link Style controls how and where the link appears. The Display Last Item Link setting controls what the link does:

A Load More link displays additional images within the block.
A standard link directs visitors to another destination.

Understand the 50-Image Display Limit

You can upload more than 50 images to an Images Block. However, each block will display a maximum of 50 images.

This limit helps maintain website performance across desktop and mobile devices. A Load More link can display additional images from the block, but it cannot increase the maximum beyond 50 displayed images.

If your Images Block contains more than 50 images, any images beyond the 50-image display limit will not appear on the website.

To display more than 50 images, you can:

Add another Images Block to the same page.
Divide the images across multiple website pages.
Use Client Galleries for a complete session or event.

Add Multiple Images Blocks

You can place more than one Images Block on the same website page. Each block can use its own images, layout, styling, and Last Item Link settings.

Multiple Images Blocks can help you display more than 50 images or organize a collection into separate sections. For example, a wedding photographer could create separate blocks for:

Getting ready
Ceremony
Portraits
Reception

You can also combine different layouts on the same page. One section could use a grid layout while another uses a Slideshow or Carousel.

Although multiple Images Blocks allow you to display more images, placing several large collections on one page may increase loading time. Consider dividing very large collections across multiple pages or using Client Galleries.

Which Option Should You Use?

Increase the rows and columns when you want more images to appear as soon as the page loads.
Use a Load More link when you want visitors to display additional images without leaving the page.
Use a standard link when you want to direct visitors to another page or image collection.
