Overview
PhotoBiz Client Galleries includes image protection settings that help discourage visitors from saving, copying, printing, downloading, or capturing your gallery images without permission. You can choose from Standard, Medium, or High protection based on how you want clients to view your photography.
Image Protection is a global setting that applies to every existing and future gallery event in your Client Galleries account. Medium is enabled by default, but you can change the protection level at any time.
This guide explains how to select an Image Protection level, how each option works, and how image protection differs from watermarks.
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and select CLIENT GALLERIES from the left-side menu.
This opens the Client Galleries Dashboard, where you can manage your gallery events, images, orders, designs, activity, and account-wide settings.
Select SETTINGS at the top of the Client Galleries Dashboard.
The options on this page apply globally to your Client Galleries account. Changes to Image Protection will affect all existing and future gallery events.
Locate the IMAGE PROTECTION section directly above WATERMARK VISIBILITY.
Select the protection level you want to use.
Standard includes PhotoBiz’s built-in safeguards against direct image access and drag-and-drop saving. Photos remain fully visible while visitors browse your gallery events.
Medium adds measures to discourage screenshots, right-click saving, downloads, printing, and copying while keeping photos fully visible during normal viewing. Medium is the default Image Protection level for PhotoBiz accounts.
High keeps part of each photo blurred at all times for the strongest screenshot deterrence. Visitors can click or tap the blurred area to move it to the opposite side of the photo. This allows them to view different parts of the image, but part of the photo remains blurred at all times.
Select SAVE CHANGES to apply your selected Image Protection level.
The setting will apply to every gallery event in your Client Galleries account. Preview one of your events as a visitor to confirm that the selected protection level provides the viewing experience you want for your clients.
The examples below show how gallery images appear when Medium and Strong Image Protection are enabled.
mage Protection and watermarks are separate Client Galleries features. You can use either feature by itself or use both together.
Image Protection controls how gallery images are displayed and adds safeguards that discourage unauthorized saving, copying, printing, downloading, or screen capture.
Watermark settings place a visible copyright symbol or custom watermark over the images displayed in your gallery events. Because WATERMARK VISIBILITY appears directly below IMAGE PROTECTION, you can review both settings and select the combination that works best for your photography business.
Watermarks are applied to the gallery images visitors view. They are not added to files that clients are permitted to download.
See How To Add a Watermark To Client Galleries for complete instructions.
