How to Change the Watermark Position in Client Galleries

Overview

PhotoBiz Client Galleries does not include a control panel setting for moving or repositioning a watermark. The default copyright watermark appears in the center of your gallery images and cannot be moved.

To display a watermark in another location, you must create a custom transparent PNG file with your logo positioned where you want it to appear. The custom watermark canvas must be exactly 3000 pixels wide by 1730 pixels high so it covers the complete image canvas used for both landscape and portrait images in Client Galleries.

This guide explains how to create and upload the custom watermark file.

STEP ONE

Open Photoshop or another photo editing program that supports transparent PNG files.

Create a new document that is exactly 3000 pixels wide by 1730 pixels high. Set the background to transparent.

Using the full 3000 x 1730-pixel canvas is required. These dimensions allow the custom watermark file to cover the entire Client Galleries image canvas for both landscape and portrait images.

STEP TWO

Add your logo or watermark artwork to the transparent canvas.

Move the artwork to the area where you want it to appear over your gallery images. For example, place the logo near the bottom-right corner of the canvas if you want the watermark to appear near the bottom-right area of the image.

Leave the rest of the canvas transparent.

Client Galleries does not include a watermark position setting. The location of your logo within the 3000 x 1730-pixel PNG determines where the watermark appears.

STEP THREE

Export the completed watermark as a PNG file.

PNG format is required because it preserves the transparent areas surrounding your logo. Do not flatten the file onto a white, black, or colored background.

Before uploading the file, confirm that:

  • The canvas is exactly 3000 x 1730 pixels
  • The background is transparent
  • The logo appears in the intended position
  • The file is saved in PNG format

FINAL STEP

Upload the PNG file as your custom watermark in the Client Galleries Dashboard.

The uploaded file replaces the default centered copyright watermark. Preview your event gallery after uploading it to confirm that the watermark appears in the intended location on both landscape and portrait images.

To change the position again, edit the 3000 x 1730-pixel PNG, move the logo within the canvas, export the revised file, and upload it as the new custom watermark.

For complete instructions on uploading the file and adjusting its visibility, see How to Add or Adjust Watermarks in Client Galleries.

How Custom Watermark Positioning Works

Client Galleries places the complete 3000 x 1730-pixel watermark canvas over each gallery image. The transparent portions remain invisible, while the visible logo appears in the area where you positioned it.

For example:

  • Place the logo in the center of the canvas for a centered watermark.
  • Place the logo near the top of the canvas for a watermark near the top of the image.
  • Place the logo near the bottom-right corner for a watermark near the bottom-right area.
  • Increase the size of the logo within the canvas if you want the watermark to cover more of the image.

You cannot drag the watermark to a new location or choose a position from the Client Galleries Dashboard. All positioning changes must be made within the custom PNG file.

Helpful Notes

  • The custom watermark canvas must be exactly 3000 x 1730 pixels.
  • These dimensions cover the full image canvas for both landscape and portrait images.
  • The default PhotoBiz copyright watermark is centered and cannot be repositioned.
  • You must create and upload a custom watermark to control its placement.
  • Custom watermarks must use PNG format.
  • Transparent areas of the PNG remain invisible over gallery images.
  • You can adjust watermark opacity from 0% to 100% in 5% increments.
  • Setting opacity to 0% turns off the watermark.
  • Setting opacity to 100% displays the watermark at its strongest visibility.
  • You can display the watermark in the large image view only or in both the large image view and Grid view.
  • Watermarks do not appear on downloaded files.
  • To include a watermark on downloaded images, apply it directly to each image before uploading it to Client Galleries.
