How to Customize Fonts in a Video Block

Overview

The PhotoBiz Video Block lets you display a video with supporting text and buttons on your website. You can use these elements to introduce the video, provide additional information, or direct visitors to another page.

Video Blocks use your website’s global font settings by default. This guide explains how to override those settings and customize the font family, size, letter spacing, and line height for an individual Video Block.

STEP ONE

Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu.

STEP TWO

Open the website page containing the Video Block you want to customize.

Click the text within the Video Block to open its editing options. You can also click the pencil icon in the upper-right corner of the block and select Advanced.

STEP THREE

Click Fonts in the right-side editing panel.

You can customize the following text elements when they are included in your Video Block:

  • Title
  • Subtitle
  • Button Text

Changes made here override your website’s global font settings for this Video Block only.

FINAL STEP

Adjust the font settings for each text element as needed. Available settings may include:

  • Font: Select the font family used for the text.
  • Font Size: Adjust how large or small the text appears.
  • Letter Spacing: Change the amount of space between individual letters. This setting is also known as kerning.
  • Line Height: Adjust the vertical spacing between lines of text.

Click Save Changes at the bottom of the editing panel when you are finished. Your changes will automatically apply to the website.

Review the page on both desktop and mobile to confirm that the text is readable and fits properly around the video.

Additional Options and Helpful Notes

Global Fonts and Video Block Fonts

Your global font settings control the default typography used throughout your website. Customizing the fonts within a Video Block does not change the global settings or affect other blocks.

To return the Video Block to your global font styling, remove or reset the custom font selections within the block’s Fonts settings.

Font Styling Tips

  • Use the same font family as the rest of your website to maintain a consistent design.

  • Make the title larger than the subtitle to create a clear visual hierarchy.

  • Avoid excessive letter spacing, which can make longer text difficult to read.

  • Check button text carefully to make sure it fits inside the button on smaller screens.

  • Keep titles and subtitles brief so they do not distract from the video.
