How to Create a Splash Intro Page on Your PhotoBiz Website

Overview

A Splash Intro Page is a focused landing page that appears before visitors enter the main part of your website. You can use it to welcome visitors, promote a special offer, highlight mini sessions, link to important pages, or direct clients to a specific action.

The easiest way to create a splash intro page is to use a Landing Page layout in the PhotoBiz AI Page Creator. Landing Page layouts are designed without the standard website header and footer, which gives your splash page a clean, distraction-free appearance.

This guide walks you through creating a splash intro page using the PhotoBiz AI Page Creator, customizing the page, and placing it at the top of your website page list so it appears first.

Prerequisites

Before using the PhotoBiz AI Page Creator, review your Business Profile in the Branding section of your control panel.

The PhotoBiz AI Page Creator uses your Business Profile to generate editable page content, including text and messaging. Keeping your Business Profile accurate helps ensure your splash intro page reflects your brand correctly.

STEP ONE

Log into your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu.

This opens your Website Builder, where you can create and manage the pages on your website.

STEP TWO

Click the NEW PAGE button in the upper-left corner of your Website Builder.

When the menu opens, click PAGE to begin creating a new website page.

STEP THREE

The PhotoBiz AI Page Creator will open and ask you to select a page type.

Choose Landing Pages from the available Filter By categories. Landing Page layouts are a good choice for splash intro pages because they are designed for focused, standalone content and are created without the standard website header and footer.

Select the landing page layout you want to use, then click CONTINUE in the right-side panel.

STEP FOUR

Enter a name for your splash intro page and choose your page visibility.

You can use a simple page name such as Intro, Welcome, or Home. If you want the splash intro page to appear first when visitors access your website, this page should be visible and placed at the top of your Website Builder page list after it is created.

Click CONTINUE in the right side page creation checklist to move forward.

STEP FIVE

Add images for your splash intro page.

You can upload new images or select images from your Image Clipboard. The PhotoBiz AI Page Creator will show the exact number of images required for the layout you selected.

The AI Page Creator only uses the required number of images for the page design. If you upload more images than required, the extra images will not be used during page generation. After the page is created, you can customize the page and replace, remove, or add images inside the Website Builder.

Click CREATE PAGE to generate your splash intro page.

PhotoBiz AI Page Creator will create your page in a few seconds.

STEP SIX

Review the page created by the PhotoBiz AI Page Creator.

Your splash intro page will include a professionally designed layout with sections, images, and text based on your selected layout and Business Profile information. You can customize any block directly inside the Website Builder.

You may want to edit or add blocks such as:

  • Banner Block
  • Text Editor Block
  • Images Block
  • Button Block
  • Form Block
  • FAQ Block

For a splash intro page, it is helpful to include a clear button that directs visitors where to go next. Common button labels include Enter Site, View Portfolio, Book Now, View Galleries, or Contact Me.

FINAL STEP

Return to your Website Builder page list and drag your splash intro page to the top of your website navigation.

Placing the page at the top makes it the first page visitors see when they visit your website. Once your page is saved, the splash intro page will display as a clean landing page without the standard website header or footer.

Additional Options or Helpful Notes

Landing Page layouts created through the PhotoBiz AI Page Creator are automatically designed without the standard website header and footer. This makes them the recommended option for creating a splash intro page.

The PhotoBiz AI Page Creator also helps generate editable content, SEO information, and Image Alt Text for AI-created pages.

If you prefer to build your splash intro page manually, you can click SKIP SETUP in the PhotoBiz AI Page Creator. This creates a blank page that you can build from scratch. When using SKIP SETUP, you may need to manually hide the header and footer by opening the page, clicking SETTINGS, and setting Display Header and Display Footer to No.

You can fully customize your splash intro page after it is created. Blocks can be edited, rearranged, duplicated, or removed at any time.

The PhotoBiz AI Page Creator uses 5 AI requests toward the 100 monthly requests included with the Website Package.

DuoBuild layouts may automatically apply when compatible blocks are placed next to each other.

Troubleshooting or FAQs

Why should I use a Landing Page layout for a splash intro page?

Landing Page layouts are designed for focused, standalone pages. They automatically remove the standard website header and footer, which gives your splash intro page a cleaner appearance and reduces the amount of manual setup required.

Can I create a blank splash intro page instead?

Yes. Click SKIP SETUP in the PhotoBiz AI Page Creator if you want to start with a blank page. This option is best if you want to build every section manually.

Why do I still see my website header or footer?

If you used SKIP SETUP or created a blank page manually, open the page and click SETTINGS. Set Display Header and Display Footer to No, then click SAVE CHANGES.

Do I need to publish the page after saving?

No. In the PhotoBiz Website Builder, the Save button automatically applies updates to your website. There is no separate publish button.
