Your blog post publication date affects how content appears on your website and how it is sorted in your blog feed. You may need to update the date after refreshing older content, migrating posts from another platform, or adjusting the order of your blog timeline. PhotoBiz allows you to change a blog post’s publication date by unpublishing and rescheduling it. This guide walks you through that process step by step.
Log into your PhotoBiz account and click BLOG in the left-side menu.
This opens your Blog dashboard where all published and unpublished posts are listed.
Click on the blog post you want to update.
This opens the blog editor where you can manage the content, SEO settings, and publishing options.
Good to know: If you have a large number of blog posts, you can use the search bar to quickly find the title of the post you want to update.
Click the UNPUBLISH button in the upper right corner of the editor.
The right-side panel will open. Click Schedule Publishing.
You will see the option to choose a custom publish date.
Click the date field to select the month, day, and year. You can click the month or year at the top of the calendar pop-out to adjust those settings. Then click the specific day you want to use. If needed, click Clear to remove the existing date and select a new one.
After selecting your preferred date, click SAVE CHANGES.
Your blog post will now reflect the updated publication date on your website and will appear in your blog feed according to the new date.
This option is especially helpful if you want to schedule future blog posts or migrate previous blog posts from another platform to PhotoBiz while keeping their original publication dates.
Changing the publication date affects the order your posts appear on your main blog page.
If you schedule a future date, the post will automatically publish on the selected day.
Updating the publish date does not change your blog post URL.
If you recently updated older content and want search engines to detect the changes, submit the RSS feed built into your PhotoBiz Blog to Google Search Console so Google can index the updated post.
