Overview
Your PhotoBiz Website Package includes a Blog tool that lets you publish posts, updates, announcements, and educational content on your website. The Blog Post Editor includes DuoBuild, a built-in layout feature that lets you place supported content blocks side by side inside a blog post.
DuoBuild is helpful when you want to create a two-column layout, such as placing an image next to text. This guide walks you through how to use DuoBuild to move an Image Block and a Text Block side by side in a blog post.
DuoBuild allows two supported blocks to snap together into a side-by-side layout when you drag one block next to another. In the Blog Post Editor, this makes it easy to create a more visual blog post layout without using custom code.
For example, you can use DuoBuild to place an image on one side and text on the other side. This is useful for:
DuoBuild is not a separate page template or setting. It works automatically when supported blocks are placed next to each other.
Log into your PhotoBiz account and click BLOG in the left-side menu.
This will open your Blog Dashboard, where you can manage existing blog posts or create a new post.
Click the blog post you want to edit, or create a new blog post.
If you have multiple blog posts, use the search bar to locate the post by title. This can help you quickly find the correct post without scrolling through your full list of blog entries.
Add an Image Block and a Text Block to your Blog Post Editor.
These blocks will appear as separate sections in the post builder. You can add your image and text before or after you arrange the blocks side by side. DuoBuild works when supported blocks are placed next to each other in the editor.
Click and hold the Text Block or Image Block, then drag it next to the other block. When the blocks are positioned side by side, release your mouse.
The blocks will snap into a two-column DuoBuild layout. Once the blocks are side by side, you can click either block to add or edit your content.
After DuoBuild is applied, your Blog Post Editor will show the Image Block and Text Block next to each other.
On your published blog post, visitors will see a side-by-side layout with your image and text displayed together.
You can move either block first. For example, you can drag the Text Block next to the Image Block, or drag the Image Block next to the Text Block.
You can also rearrange the blocks if you want the image on the left and the text on the right, or the text on the left and the image on the right.
DuoBuild is designed to make your blog post layout more flexible while keeping the editing process simple. You do not need to turn on a setting or select a special layout option.
For best results, preview your blog post after arranging your blocks. This allows you to confirm that the side-by-side layout looks good on your website.
The blocks are not snapping side by side
Make sure you are dragging one block directly next to the other block, not above or below it. DuoBuild activates when supported blocks are placed beside each other in the editor.
The layout looks different on mobile
Side-by-side layouts may stack vertically on smaller screens so your blog post remains easy to read on phones and tablets. This is expected behavior and helps keep your content mobile-friendly. On mobile devices, the block on the left will appear above the block on the right.
I cannot find the blog post I want to edit
Use the search bar in your Blog Dashboard to search for the blog post by title. If you still cannot find it, check that you are in the correct blog area and that the post has not been deleted.
