Troubleshooting Digital Download Issues in PhotoBiz Client Galleries
PhotoBiz makes it easy to offer both free and paid digital downloads to your clients—whether they're Web Size – Low Resolution or Web Size – High Resolution. If a client is having trouble accessing their digital images, here are some of the most common issues we've seen and how to fix them.
Note: This guide covers general troubleshooting for web-size image downloads. If you're having trouble with Original File resolution downloads, click here for that guide.
STEP ONE
Make Sure the Client Unzipped the File
When your client downloads their images, the files are delivered in a .ZIP format. To access the actual photos, they’ll need to unzip (or extract) the file first.
Here’s how to open the downloaded file:
If the client is viewing on a mobile device or tablet, they may need to install a file extraction app to open the ZIP file.
STEP TWO
Check the Size of the Images You Uploaded
PhotoBiz automatically optimizes your uploaded images for fast viewing and high-quality downloads. Here’s how image sizing works:
- Maximum image display size is 3000px wide or 1730px tall, depending on the image’s aspect ratio for web resolution or if you have enabled Original Files, your download images can be as large as 50MB each.
- Upload files that are at least this large to ensure your clients receive the best quality possible.
