Adding text to your website can be done through the Text Editor Block. You can stylize your text to achieve your desired look.
Overview
The Text Editor Block lets you add and format written content on your PhotoBiz website. You can use it for page introductions, photographer bios, service descriptions, pricing information, policies, calls to action, and other text-focused content.
You can start with a blank block or choose from 21 predesigned Text Editor Blocks, then customize the layout, text formatting, colors, background, fonts, button, spacing, and other design settings. You can also use Ask PhotoBiz AI to create new content or rewrite text you have already added.
This guide explains how to add, customize, manage, and delete a Text Editor Block in the PhotoBiz Website Builder.
The Text Editor Block is a good choice whenever written content is the main focus of a section on your website.
You can use a Text Editor Block for:
If you want text and an image to appear together as part of the same block, consider using a Text + Image Block instead.

Click the page where you want to add the Text Editor Block.
The selected page will open in the Website Builder, and the available block types will appear in the toolbar on the right side of the screen.
Locate T EDITOR in the block toolbar on the right side of the Website Builder.
Click T EDITOR once to automatically add a new Text Editor Block as the last block on the page.
If you want to add it in a specific location, click and hold T EDITOR, drag it to the position you want on the page, and release it.
The SELECT EDITOR BLOCK panel will open on the right side of the Website Builder.
Select Blank to start with an empty Text Editor Block, or select one of the predesigned options from Editor 1 through Editor 21.
The predesigned options give you a starting design that you can customize after the block is added.

After you select a block design, the EDIT EDITOR panel will open on the right side of the Website Builder.
Enter your heading in the TITLE field and add your content in the TEXT editor.
Use the formatting toolbar to format your content, create links, add images, adjust alignment, create lists, and choose paragraph or heading styles.
You can also switch between the VISUAL and HTML tabs. Use VISUAL for standard editing. The HTML tab lets you view or edit the HTML used within the text field.
When you are finished, click SAVE CHANGES.
Your updates are automatically applied to your website. There is no separate publish button for Website Builder changes.
The TEXT editor includes formatting tools that let you customize the content inside your Text Editor Block.
Available tools include options for:
Use the VISUAL tab for standard text editing. The HTML tab lets you view or edit the HTML used within the text field.
To add a link to text in the Text Editor Block, highlight the words you want visitors to click, then click the LINK icon in the formatting toolbar.
The Insert link window will open.
Enter the destination in the URL field. The highlighted text will appear in the TEXT TO DISPLAY field.
You can also add optional text in the TITLE field.

You can embed an image or animated GIF directly inside the Text Editor Block when you need the image to appear within your formatted text.
For most website layouts, however, we recommend using a Text + Image Block, Images Block, or List Block when images are an important part of the design. These blocks provide more control over how images are positioned and displayed within your website layout.
For step-by-step instructions, see How to Add an Image or GIF Inside a Text Editor Block in PhotoBiz.
Ask PhotoBiz AI can write new content for your Text Editor Block or rewrite text you have already added.
PhotoBiz AI uses information from your Business Profile to help personalize generated content. Keeping your Business Profile accurate and up to date can help the AI create content that better reflects your business, services, location, style, and approach.
If the Text Editor Block does not contain text yet, add a TITLE first and click ASK PHOTOBIZ AI. PhotoBiz AI will use your title, the context of the page, and the Business Profile information saved in the Branding section of your account to write new text for the block.
If your Text Editor Block already contains text, click ASK PHOTOBIZ AI to have PhotoBiz AI read your existing content and create a rewritten version. Your Business Profile information is also referenced when generating the updated text.
You can also provide custom instructions when you want PhotoBiz AI to make a specific type of change. Click the custom instructions option below ASK PHOTOBIZ AI, then describe what you want it to do.
For example, you can ask PhotoBiz AI to make your content shorter, warmer, more professional, more descriptive, or focused on a specific photography service.
Each time you use Ask PhotoBiz AI to generate or rewrite content, it counts as one Ask PhotoBiz AI request toward the monthly total included with your account.
All PhotoBiz AI content is fully editable. Review the generated text for accuracy, especially when it includes pricing, policies, locations, services, or other business-specific details. Make any changes you need, then click SAVE CHANGES when you are finished.
The icons along the right side of the Text Editor Block provide direct access to its main settings, including TEXT, BUTTON, LAYOUT, STYLING, COLORS, BACKGROUND, FONTS, and ANIMATION.
You can also click the pencil icon on the block to open its management menu.
Available options include:
To delete a Text Editor Block, click the pencil icon on the block and click DELETE.
The DELETE BLOCK panel will open and ask you to confirm the action.
Deleting the block permanently removes the Text Editor Block and all content within it. This action cannot be undone.
Click YES, DELETE IT to permanently remove the block.
If you do not want to delete the block, click CANCEL or close the panel.
Important: Deleted Text Editor Blocks cannot be recovered. Make sure you no longer need the block or its content before confirming the deletion.
Click BUTTON in the Text Editor Block settings to add a button to the block.
Enter the text you want visitors to see on the button in the BUTTON TEXT field. For example, you could use:
Next, use the LINK TO menu to choose what happens when a visitor clicks the button.
Available options include:
After selecting the link type, complete any additional fields that appear for that option, then click SAVE CHANGES.
For complete instructions on using the PhotoBiz Link Picker, check out this guide.
After you add a Text Editor Block, click LAYOUT in the block settings to change how the content inside the block is arranged.
At the top of the panel, PhotoBiz displays the CURRENT LAYOUT. The available layouts appear below as visual previews, so you can compare how each one will position the title, text, button, and other design elements.
The Text Editor Block includes 12 layouts:
Click SAVE on the layout you want to use. The selected layout will become the new CURRENT LAYOUT for that Text Editor Block.
Changing the layout does not change the purpose of the Text Editor Block or turn it into a different block type. It changes how the existing content is arranged and may also change which options are available under STYLING, COLORS, and other design settings.
For step-by-step instructions, see How to Change the Text Editor Layout.
Click STYLING to adjust the spacing and positioning of elements within your Text Editor Block.
Available settings vary depending on the layout you are using.
Options may include:
Click SAVE CHANGES when finished.
Click COLORS to customize the colors used in your Text Editor Block.
The available color settings can vary depending on the layout and button style you are using.
Options may include:
You can select a color or enter a specific hexadecimal color value.
Click SAVE CHANGES to apply your color settings.
Click BACKGROUND to control the background image used in your Text Editor Block.
Under BACKGROUND IMAGE, choose one of these options:
For a Custom Background, PhotoBiz accepts JPG or PNG files. Background images can be up to 3000 pixels wide by 1730 pixels high.
After choosing an image, use BACKGROUND SETTINGS to control how it displays.
Available options include:
Click SAVE CHANGES to apply your background settings.
Click FONTS to customize the typography used in your Text Editor Block.
The Text Editor Block uses your website's global font settings by default. Changes made here override those global font settings for this individual block.
You can customize fonts for:
For each text type, you can adjust settings such as:
The font preview shows how your selected font and settings will appear before you save your changes.
Click SAVE CHANGES when you are finished.
For complete step-by-step instructions, see How to Change the Fonts on Text Editor Blocks
Click ANIMATION to choose the hover effect used by the button in your Text Editor Block.

Click SAVE CHANGES to apply your selection.
If your Text Editor Block does not contain a button, this setting does not affect the block.
The Text Editor Block supports DuoBuild, a built-in Website Builder feature that automatically places two supported blocks next to each other in a two-column layout.
DuoBuild is not a separate page template or setting.
Supported DuoBuild blocks include:
Drag the Text Editor Block horizontally next to another supported block. When the side-by-side placement indicator appears, release the block and the two blocks will automatically snap into place.
Each block remains independent and keeps its own content and individual settings.
To return to a full-width layout, drag one of the blocks above or below the other.
For complete instructions, see How to Use DuoBuild in the PhotoBiz Website Builder.
After you click SAVE CHANGES, the Text Editor Block appears on your website using the content, layout, fonts, colors, and other design settings you selected.
Visitors can read your text, follow any links you have added, and click the button if the block includes one. The button's destination depends on the option you selected under LINK TO.
Your Text Editor Block follows your website's global fonts and colors unless you override those settings within the individual block.
The Editor 1 through Editor 21 choices are predesigned starting blocks. They are separate from the 12 options available under LAYOUT after the block has been added.
Different layouts can provide different styling and color controls. Review the available settings after changing your layout to make sure the block appears the way you want.
When copying text from Microsoft Word, another website, or another formatted source, paste without formatting whenever possible. This helps prevent unwanted fonts, colors, sizes, and spacing from carrying into your Text Editor Block.
Use:
Mac: Command + Shift + V
Windows: Ctrl + Shift + V
Clicking SAVE CHANGES automatically applies your updates to the website. You do not need to publish the website separately.
