Overview
PhotoBiz Forms & Contracts can redirect clients to a custom page after they successfully submit a form or sign a contract. You can use this redirect for a thank-you page, preparation guide, Scheduler page, hosted PDF, or another online resource.
A custom confirmation page gives clients clear next steps instead of ending the process with the standard confirmation message. This guide walks you through adding a Custom Confirmation Page URL, testing the redirect, and understanding what happens if the linked page or file is later removed.
Log into your PhotoBiz account and click FORMS in the left-side menu.
This opens the Forms Dashboard, where you can access your forms, contracts, submissions, and other Forms tools.
Click FORMS at the top center of the Forms Dashboard.
This opens your list of existing forms.
Click the FORM NAME you want to edit. This opens the form editor so you can access its settings and submission options.
Good To Know: If you have multiple categories or pages of forms, you can use the search bar to easily locate your form.
In the form editor, click the gear icon in the upper-right corner, then click SETTINGS.
This opens the settings panel where you can control what happens after the form or contract is completed.
Locate the CUSTOM CONFIRMATION PAGE URL field and enter the URL you want clients redirected to after they successfully submit the form or sign the contract.
The URL can point to a page on your PhotoBiz website or another accessible web address, such as a hosted PDF or online resource.
Click SAVE CHANGES at the bottom of the panel.
Your Custom Confirmation Page URL is now active. Submit a test form or contract to confirm that the redirect opens the correct destination.
A Custom Confirmation Page can be useful for sending clients to:
If you do not add a Custom Confirmation Page URL, clients will see the standard PhotoBiz confirmation message after a successful submission.
The redirect occurs only after the form or contract has been successfully completed. Changing the Custom Confirmation Page URL affects future submissions.
Your confirmation page may not need to appear in your website's main navigation. If you want to create a page specifically for clients who complete a form or contract, you can create a hidden page in the PhotoBiz Website Builder and use that page's URL as the Custom Confirmation Page URL.
Hidden pages are useful for thank-you pages, preparation information, lead magnets, special instructions, and other content that does not need to appear in your main website navigation.
For complete instructions, see How To Create A Hidden Page.
If the page or file used for your Custom Confirmation Page URL is deleted, the form or contract will still submit successfully. The client's submitted information will continue to be recorded in your PhotoBiz account.
However, after the submission is completed, the client may be redirected to a 404 Page Not Found because the saved confirmation URL still points to the deleted page or file.
Deleting the destination does not automatically remove or update the URL saved in the form settings.
If you delete, rename, move, or replace your confirmation page or resource, return to the form settings and update or remove the CUSTOM CONFIRMATION PAGE URL.
The client sees a 404 Page Not Found
Check the URL saved in the CUSTOM CONFIRMATION PAGE URL field. Make sure the page or resource still exists and that the URL has not changed.
The form or contract may still have submitted successfully even if the confirmation destination is no longer available.
The client is sent to the wrong page
Open the form settings and verify the URL entered in the CUSTOM CONFIRMATION PAGE URL field. Replace the URL if needed, then click SAVE CHANGES.
Submit a new test form or contract to verify the updated redirect.
An external page or PDF does not open
Open the URL directly in a browser and make sure the resource is accessible to your clients. If the destination requires a login or special permissions, clients may not be able to view it after submitting the form.
I changed the confirmation URL but want to make sure it works
Submit a new test form or contract after saving your changes. A test submission lets you confirm that the form completes successfully and that the client is redirected to the correct destination.
