We value your security and have recently updated our global list of blocked spam terms in order to avoid fraudulent content from being submitted through your forms and in blog comments.
Each account has a restricted word list that you can review and personalize in your control panel's SPAM PROTECTION. The restricted word list prevents users from submitting forms or blog comments that contain any word on your restricted word list.
For example: if you have blocked the word "Casino" (a frequent spam topic), and a user tries to submit a form containing the phrase "Casino themed photoshoot", that submission will be blocked because it contains the blocked term, Casino.
For more information on how to block spammers individually, check out this article on blocking spammers.
This guide will walk you through the steps of editing your Spam Policy Settings for your PhotoBiz website.
STEP ONE
Log into your PhotoBiz account and click on MY ACCOUNT in the left-side menu.
STEP TWO
Mouse over the SETTINGS option at the top of your My Account control panel and click on SPAM PROTECTION in the drop down menu.
STEP THREE
Scroll down below the Google reCAPTCHA section and you'll find your SPAM POLICY section. You'll be able to configure the following options:
- BLACKLISTED DOMAINS AND EMAIL ADDRESSES: This section allows you to block any specific email address or domain from submitting your forms.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Be careful when blocking domains as anyone with an email address associated with that domain will not be able to submit your forms. This can have a major impact on your ability to generate leads if you block a popular email service such as gmail.com or yahoo.com.
- BLACKLISTED IPS: This section allows you to block any IP address from submitting your forms.
- RESTRICTED WORDS: This section allows you to block any submission containing a specific word from your forms.
Click on SAVE CHANGES to apply any updates to your spam policy.
