Overview
PhotoBiz Mailbox allows you to create a branded email address using your domain, such as you@yourdomain.com. If you permanently delete an email from your Trash folder by mistake, you may still be able to recover it from webmail.
This guide explains how to use the Recover Deleted Email tool in PhotoBiz Mailbox. You can recover messages for up to 14 days after they have been permanently deleted from the Trash folder.
Before you begin, make sure you can log in to your PhotoBiz Mailbox through webmail.
Important Note: Rackspace, our email service provider, automatically removes permanently deleted messages after 14 days. Once this 14-day recovery window has passed, the messages cannot be recovered.
Log in to your PhotoBiz Mailbox through webmail at https://mailbox.photobiz.com.
The Recover Deleted Email tool is only available in webmail. If you normally use a desktop or mobile email app, such as Outlook, Apple Mail, or the Mail app on your phone, you will need to log in through webmail to complete this process.
Check your Trash folder and any other folders where the missing messages may still be located.
Before using the recovery tool, look in folders such as Trash, Archive, Junk, Spam, or any custom folders you have created. If the message is still in one of these folders, you can move it back to your Inbox or another folder without using the recovery tool.
Right-click the Trash folder in the left-side folder menu.
From the menu that appears, select Recover Deleted Email. This opens the recovery window where you can view messages that may still be available to restore.
In the recovery window, select the email messages you want to restore.
You can select one message or multiple messages, depending on what you need to recover. Only messages still within the 14-day recovery window will be available in this tool.
Click Recover to Folder and choose the folder where you want the recovered messages to be saved.
You can restore the emails to your Inbox or another folder in your mailbox. Choose a folder that will be easy to find after the recovery is complete.
Wait for the confirmation message that says “Message(s) Recovered.”
After you see the confirmation, close the recovery tool and open the folder you selected. Your recovered messages should now appear in that folder. If you do not see them right away, use the webmail search bar to search by sender, subject, or date.
The Recover Deleted Email tool is helpful when emails have already been removed from the Trash folder. If the message is still in Trash, you do not need to use this tool. You can move the message directly from Trash to your Inbox or another folder.

Why do I not see the Recover Deleted Email option?
Make sure you are right-clicking the Trash folder in the left-side folder menu. If the option does not appear, there may not be any permanently deleted messages available to recover, or the messages may be outside the 14-day recovery window.
Why can’t I find my recovered email?
Open the folder you selected during the recovery process. If you do not see the message right away, use the search bar in webmail to search by sender, subject, or date.
Can PhotoBiz recover emails after 14 days?
No. Permanently deleted messages are only available for recovery for up to 14 days. After that period, Rackspace automatically removes them and they cannot be restored.
Can I recover deleted emails from Outlook, Apple Mail, or my phone?
The recovery tool is not available inside third-party email apps. You must log in to webmail at https://mailbox.photobiz.com to recover permanently deleted messages.
