Overview
The Last Item feature controls what visitors see after the final visible item in certain PhotoBiz Website Builder blocks. You can use it to display more content on the same page, direct visitors to another destination, or end the block without an additional link.
This feature is helpful when a block contains more images, products, services, blog posts, appointments, or other items than you want to display at once. This guide explains where the Last Item feature is available, how to find its settings, and how each option works.
The Last Item feature is available in supported PhotoBiz Website Builder blocks, including:
Log in to your PhotoBiz account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu. The Website Builder will open and display your website pages.
Open the page that contains the block you want to update.
Click directly on the block, or click the pencil icon in the upper-right corner of the block, to open its settings. In the right-side settings panel, click Advanced.
Locate the setting labeled LOAD MORE LINK.
This setting controls what appears after the final visible item in the block. The number of items initially displayed is determined by the block’s selected layout and its row, column, or display settings.
The Last Item options only appear in supported blocks and layouts.
Choose the LOAD MORE LINK option that works best for your content.
Select None when you do not want to display an additional link. The block will only show the items allowed by its current layout and display settings.
Select Yes, as a “load more link” when you want visitors to reveal additional items without leaving the page. When a visitor selects the link, the block loads another set of available items within the same page.
Select Yes, as a “standard link” when you want visitors to continue to another destination. You can link to an internal page, external website, form, marketing campaign, file, phone number, email address, physical address, video, or pop-up.
After selecting your option, complete any additional link text, link style, or destination settings that appear. Click Save when you are finished. Your changes are applied to your website automatically.
When the feature is set up correctly, visitors will either see a way to load more items, a link to another destination, or no additional action after the final displayed item.
Use Yes, as a “load more link” when you want visitors to remain on the current page while viewing more content. This works well for:
Use Yes, as a “standard link” when the block is intended to preview content found somewhere else. Common destinations include:
Use None when the displayed items are complete and you do not want visitors to take another action from the block.
The block’s layout settings determine how many items appear before the Last Item option is shown. Depending on the block, this may be controlled by rows, columns, the number of posts displayed, or another item limit.
To show more or fewer items initially, return to the block’s layout settings and adjust the available display options.
A Load More link will only appear when the block contains additional items that are not already visible. If every available item is displayed, visitors will not see the Load More link.
Some supported blocks and layouts include additional options for customizing the Last Item link. Depending on the block, you may be able to change the link text or choose how the link appears.
Available link styles may include:
These options are not available in every block or layout. Review the block-specific guide for the exact settings supported by the block you are editing.
Why is my Load More link not showing?
The block may not contain more items than the layout is currently set to display. Review the block’s row, column, or item display settings, and confirm that additional content is available.
The selected block layout must also support the Last Item feature.
Why do I see different options in another block?
Last Item settings vary by block type and layout. Some blocks include link style or text options that are not available in other blocks.
Use the block-specific guide listed in the Where You Can Use the Last Item Feature section for detailed instructions.
Does the Last Item feature replace a Button Block?
No. The Last Item feature is connected to the content inside a specific block.
Use a Button Block when you want to place a separate call-to-action button anywhere on the page.
Why does selecting None hide some of my content?
Selecting None removes the option for visitors to display additional items. The block will only show the number of items allowed by its current layout settings.
Increase the number of visible rows, columns, or items if you want more content to appear without using a Load More link.
