Overview
The Conversations feature is included with your PhotoBiz Website Package and allows you to communicate with clients and leads directly from your contacts. Each conversation is connected to a contact record, making it easy to review past communication in one place.
This guide walks you through how to delete a conversation from a contact in your PhotoBiz account. Deleting a conversation is permanent, so you should only delete a conversation if you are sure you no longer need the conversation history.
Deleting a conversation permanently removes that conversation history from the contact. This action cannot be undone.
Deleting a contact is different from deleting a single conversation. If you delete a contact, the contact record and everything associated with that contact will be permanently deleted, including conversation history, form submissions, saved contact details, and other contact activity.
If you want to stop an active conversation but keep the message history saved with the contact, you can close the conversation instead of deleting it. Closing a conversation keeps the record available for future reference.
Log into your PhotoBiz account and click CONTACTS in the left-side menu.
This will open your Contacts area, where you can search for and manage your client and lead records.
Find the contact that has the conversation you want to delete.
You can scroll through your contact list or use the search bar to find the contact by name, email address, or other saved contact details. Click the contact’s name to open their contact record.
Inside the contact record, click CONVERSATIONS.
This will display the conversations associated with that contact. Check the box next to the conversation you want to delete.
Click DELETE to remove the selected conversation.
A confirmation pop-up will appear asking, Are you sure you want to delete this conversation? Click YES, DELETE IT to permanently delete the conversation.
If you do not want to delete the conversation, click CANCEL instead. The conversation will remain saved under the contact.
If you are not sure whether you may need the conversation later, close the conversation instead of deleting it. This is the best option when a conversation is finished but you still want to keep the message history connected to the contact.
Before deleting a contact, review anything you may need to keep. Deleting a contact permanently removes the full contact record and all activity associated with that contact, including conversations, form submissions, saved contact details, and other contact activity.
Can I recover a deleted conversation?
No. Deleted conversations cannot be recovered. If you may need the conversation history later, close the conversation instead of deleting it.
What is the difference between closing and deleting a conversation?
Closing a conversation ends the active conversation while keeping the message history saved with the contact. Deleting a conversation permanently removes the conversation history from your account.
What happens if I delete the contact instead?
Deleting the contact permanently removes the contact record and everything associated with it, including conversation history, form submissions, saved contact details, and other contact activity. This action cannot be undone.
Can I delete more than one conversation?
Yes. If multiple conversations are listed under the contact, you can select the conversations you want to delete and then click DELETE.
