Overview
The Mailbox Behaviors settings in the Apple Mail app control which folders are used for drafts, sent messages, deleted messages, and archived messages for your PhotoBiz Mailbox.
Changing these settings can be helpful if Apple Mail is saving messages to an unexpected folder or if you are seeing multiple folders for sent, deleted, or archived email.
This guide walks you through finding the Mailbox Behaviors settings on your iPhone or iPad, selecting the folder Apple Mail should use, and saving your changes.
Before you begin:
Under Mailbox Behaviors, tap the setting you want to change. Depending on your device and account configuration, you may see options for your Drafts Mailbox, Sent Mailbox, Deleted Mailbox, or Archive Mailbox.
These settings tell Apple Mail which folder on your PhotoBiz Mailbox server should be used for each type of message.
Select the folder you want Apple Mail to use for the Mailbox Behavior you are changing.
After selecting the folder, tap the back arrow to return to the Mailbox Behaviors screen. Tap the back arrow again to return to your account settings, then tap DONE to save the updated settings.
The folder you selected should now appear next to that Mailbox Behavior, and Apple Mail will use that location for future messages associated with that behavior.
Apple Mail is a third-party email application and is not operated by PhotoBiz. Apple may update the Mail app, Settings menus, or available options, so the screens on your device may vary slightly from the examples shown in this guide.
PhotoBiz Support can help you confirm settings related to your PhotoBiz Mailbox. Troubleshooting issues specific to the Apple Mail app, iOS, iPadOS, or your Apple device may require assistance from Apple Support.
Why are my sent messages going into the wrong folder?
Open the Mailbox Behaviors settings and check the Sent Mailbox selection. Make sure Apple Mail is using the appropriate Sent folder for your PhotoBiz Mailbox.
Why do I have more than one Sent or Trash folder?
This can happen when an email application uses a different folder than the folder already configured on the mail server. Check your Mailbox Behaviors and make sure Apple Mail is mapped to the folder you want to use.
Existing messages in the other folder are not automatically moved when you change this setting.
What if I do not see the same options shown in this guide?
Available Mailbox Behaviors and menu locations can vary depending on your iPhone or iPad software version and how the email account is configured. PhotoBiz Support can help you confirm your PhotoBiz Mailbox settings.
